A huge thank you to Dylan at DK9 Services, our Lead Dog Trainer in Illinois, for his dedication to the 22Mohawks family over the past four years.

Earlier this month, Dylan met with Justin, Founder of Rangers Creed Whiskey, to share more about our mission and Pups Program. As a result, Rangers Creed Whiskey is generously funding a companion dog and training for one Illinois veteran or first responder!

Dylan will be handling the local logistics, making this opportunity possible!

If you're a veteran or first responder in Illinois interested in receiving a dog through our program, visit 22Mohawks.com and apply under Pups.

Thank you, and , for all your support!

Yesterday, alongside Rally for Paws, we had the honor of pairing Groton Firefighter Aaron and his family with K9 Sage. 🐾

Sage originally started training to become a bomb detection K9, but her love for people and constant need for affection made it clear she was meant for a different role of becoming a companion for a family.

Thank you to Jen Hurtue of Stonewall Canine in Bellingham, MA, for connecting us with Sage and for all the time, care, and training she has put into her.

We also want to thank our lead volunteer Tom and his wife Sue for transporting Sage to us in Oakdale, CT, where we met up with the Rally for Paws family for the pairing.

Moments like today are a reminder of what can happen when good people come together for the right reasons. This pairing marked the first of many in partnership with Rally for Paws.

From the moment Sage arrived, she fit right in with Aaron and his family, and we are looking forward to watching her grow with them.

Welcome to the 22Mohawks family!!

Today was a special day marking the partnership between Rally for Paws and 22Mohawks. The start of a relationship built on shared purpose, integrity, and a deep commitment to helping others.

A few years ago, we first met Brian (squared) at an event organized by Justin Sachs and his son Jacob to support 22Mohawks. At the time, none of us could have imagined where that connection would lead.

Fast forward to a few months ago, when Shane, Ashley, and Brian (squared) walked into our office. From the moment we sat down together, it was clear that Rally for Paws was something special. Their passion is real and their hearts are genuine.

Rally for Paws exists to unite car enthusiasts for incredible driving adventures while raising funds to support nonprofits that pair dogs with veterans and first responders. They are creating community, purpose, and hope all while having fun and bringing people together!

Today, because of their generosity and belief in our mission, they are helping fund our dog pairings for this year! To say we are grateful would be an understatement.

Thank you, Rally for Paws, for believing in what we do and backing it with action. Your support is going to make an impact in the lives of many veterans and first responders.

We are proud to be a part of the Rally for Paws Family and to have you in the 22Mohawks Family!

Next event is July 4th stay tuned for more details. 🇺🇸🐾

On Memorial Day, we honor & remember the loved ones we’ve lost the only way we know how. 🇺🇸

22Mohawks Founder Dave Campisano honored and remembered his loved one on his 5th jump at 22Mohawks Operation Airborne for Vets at X35 Airborne School.

"It's not the length of life, It's the depth of life."

Memorial Day 2026 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the heroes who gave everything for this nation, our freedom, and the people beside them. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We remember:

• SPC John Hatfield
• SGT Tim Lisk
• CPL Michael Mahoney
• SN Michael Coyne
• SGT Derek Redmon
• SSG Travis Partyka
• CPT Curtis Ballard
• SRA Stylianos Vozella

They are warriors, brothers, sons, friends, and patriots whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire all of us.

This Memorial Day, may we live with gratitude, lead with purpose, and never forget the cost of freedom.

Honor them.

Carry them with us always.

The friendships forged and connections made throughout the 22Mohawks Family are a true testament to how our programs work. Divine timing brought several of our jumpers from Operation Medusa and Valiant Belle together unexpectedly the other day. Lifelines crossing paths miles from where their journeys began.

This is what 22Mohawks is all about: connection, purpose, belonging, and knowing you’re never alone. Bonds built through shared experiences continue long after the operation ends, creating the 22Mohawks Family that spans generations, backgrounds, and distances.

We fu**in love you!

At 22Mohawks, we believe su***de prevention cannot begin only at the point of crisis.

It has to begin much earlier.

Our latest blog outlines the emerging 22Mohawks framework for upstream su***de prevention — a model rooted in:

* belonging,
* trust,
* peer connection,
* identity preservation,
* culturally competent support,
* firearm safety without alienation,
* and scalable human-centered intervention systems.

The article also introduces our evolving Theory of Change:

If communities build culturally aligned, Veteran- and First Responder-led upstream su***de prevention systems that restore mission, identity, belonging, purpose, and physiological regulation, while creating trusted pathways into clinical care, then su***de can be reduced at the population level, including among individuals not engaged in traditional mental health services.

This work is helping shape:

* our research initiatives,
* our prevention philosophy,
* and the development of the Frontline platform integrating peer support, clinicians, and ethical technology.

We believe the future of su***de prevention depends on building systems people trust before crisis begins.

Honored to present at the 59th Annual Conference of the American Association of Suicidology (AAS26) alongside an incredible team representing 22Mohawks.

Over the past two years, we’ve worked to better understand the intersection of military transition, identity loss, belonging, and upstream su***de prevention for Veterans and first responders.
This experience reminded us that prevention is not only clinical, it’s relational.

A huge thank you to Lauren Palazuelos and Stacey Coyne for their dedication, passion, and tireless work toward this mission. The depth of care, professionalism, and heart they brought to this presentation and to the work we do every day was incredible to witness. I’m grateful to stand beside people so deeply committed to serving others and strengthening our Veteran community.

We also want to thank our volunteers, Tom Barry and Liam Delaney, who spent the entire week speaking with attendees at the 22Mohawks display table, sharing our mission, building connections, and helping introduce people from across the country to the work being done within our community. Their commitment, energy, and willingness to engage in meaningful conversations represented 22Mohawks incredibly well.

We’re grateful for the conversations, support, and collaboration shared with clinicians, 988 responders, researchers, advocates, and fellow organizations committed to saving lives.

Thank you to everyone who attended our presentation:

“Restoring Mission, Restoring Lives: A Community-Centered Approach to Veteran Su***de Prevention.”

We still have a lot to learn, but we remain committed to building connection, purpose, and belonging for those who served.

Military service changes people in powerful ways.

Not because Veterans are “broken.”
But because the military intentionally conditions human behavior for survival, performance, and mission success.
Those adaptations save lives in operational environments.

But after transition, the same conditioning can sometimes create barriers to healing, connection, and help-seeking.

This carousel breaks down 3 major forms of conditioning often experienced during military service:

1️⃣ Classical Conditioning

The nervous system learns automatic survival responses to stress, threat, and environmental cues.

2️⃣ Operant Conditioning

Behaviors like emotional suppression, endurance, and pushing through pain become reinforced and rewarded.

3️⃣ Social Conditioning

Military culture shapes identity, belonging, leadership, trust, and sense of purpose.
These responses are not weakness.
They are adaptive survival mechanisms that once served an important purpose.

The challenge for many Veterans is that the body and mind often remain in survival mode long after service ends.
That’s why connection matters.
That’s why belonging matters.
That’s why purpose matters.

And that’s why upstream su***de prevention must focus on rebuilding protective factors, not just responding during crisis.

Veterans do not just need services.
They need community.
