Hope Center for Arts and Technology, Inc Art. Education. Opportunity. Empowering community one job at a time. The Youth Arts team is also contracted by local schools to help run summer programming.

HopeCAT's educational model is based on Bill Strickland’s belief that environment shapes behavior. Our classes are held in a contemporary high-tech, newly renovated school in Sharon, PA (the former Sacred Heart Elementary School), filled with art and light, that’s fully equipped with classrooms and art studios to serve students in the Shenango Valley. Since opening in 2017, HopeCAT has maintained

a 90% graduation rate for our Adult Training Programs and have a 95% pass rate for our students who take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam through NHA. Our curriculum is relevant, our instructors make our classrooms a safe environment for learning and accountability, and the entire staff is mission driven. Similarly to the success of our ATP programs, our Youth Arts programs have served over 400 unique kids, providing thousands of teaching hours to our local youth. In 2021, HopeCAT's Youth Arts team started providing Artistic Recovery Time, or as we like to call it, the ART program, to individuals in recovery. Our goal is to extend our mission by providing the same environment we provide to our students. With the belief that environment shapes behavior and our building, which is a space full of art and light, HopeCAT aims to best serve the people in our community and help change lives.

Youth Arts Summer Sessions begin next week!

Looking for a creative outlet this summer? HopeCAT’s Youth Arts Program (not to be confused with our Summer Camp) is continuing all summer long with hands-on art experiences for students in grades 3–12.

Last week marked the final week for our 2025–2026 Resident Artists, and it's hard to put into words how much we'll miss them.

Over the past 9 months, these talented artists have been a HUGE part of HopeCAT. They have poured their creativity, passion, and energy into our programs, our students, and our community. Whether they were teaching, creating, mentoring, or helping behind the scenes, they consistently went above and beyond to make a difference.

Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the mission of HopeCAT. We are so grateful for everything you've contributed, and we know that this is only the beginning of your journey. We can't wait to see all of the amazing things you'll accomplish in the future.
