Beacon of the Valley is a fund of the Community Foundation that focuses on the needs of children ages 12 and under in the Mahoning Valley.

Tonight at midnight starts an amazing event set up by The Community Foundation and their partners. Donations made to Beacon of the Valley during the week through this link will have a percentage of the dollars matched by The Foundation's partners. While we may have been quiet on social media lately, we have been active with the different agencies in the area. Last month alone, we donated $6000 in total to Catholic Charities and the Trumbull and Mahoning County’s Children Services.
Thank you all for your support and giving us the opportunity to help these great organizations

Thank you everyone who came out Saturday night and made “An Evening with Ryan Blaney” such a success. We had over 500 people in attendance and raised over $20,000.

Thanks to Chas Wolbert and Ohio Express, the purse has been set for the co****le tournament Saturday evening. The first place team will win $300, second will receive $200 and third will bring home $100.
The cost is $20 per team and the tournament will start at 4:00. You can either register at the event or preregister on the app, Scoreholio. Once on the app, find us at “An Evening with Ryan Blaney Co****le Tournament”

There are still some tickets left for the VIP session with Ryan Blaney that will take place after the autograph session. Comment on this post or message us for the link to purchase the tickets. Tickets are $125 and include your entry into the event. If you have already purchased your entry tickets, the $25 will be refunded to you

We are just over 2 weeks away from the “Evening with Ryan Blaney” event at Yankee Lake.
Along with the autograph session from 5:00-6:30, Ryan will also be available for a special, VIP Question and Answer session, for a minimum of 30 minutes after the autographs.
To make sure everyone can get their questions answered and have time spent with Ryan, this session will only have 25 tickets available. Just 2 tickets can be purchased per person and will be offered to the first to comment on this post. Once we hit 25 people, the session will be closed.
Tickets will cost $125 (if you have already paid for your entrance ticket, you will be reimbursed the $25 at the event) and will also include a framed picture of Ryan and a Ryan Blaney Family Foundation t-shirt.
If you are one of the lucky 25 folks, we will privately message you a link to get the tickets.

Come join us for an Evening with Ryan Blaney on January 25th at Yankee Lake Ballroom in Brookfield, OH. Along with the 2023 Cup Champion signing autographs from 5:00-6:30, there will also be a co****le tournament with cash prizes and local band, Guys Without Ties, playing from 5:00-8:00. Dinner will be included with the $25 entry ticket

A HUGE thank you to the Hoff family and everyone The Ski Chalet for letting us again be a part of The Winter Kickoff Party held this past Friday at Penguin City Brewery. All $5000 raised from the Chinese Auction were donated to Beacon of the Valley. We appreciate them including us again this year and also everyone who came out and purchased tickets for all of the amazing items.

Good food for a Great cause. Stop in to the Girard IFH on Sunday, August 25th to support our friends, Steel City Warriors. The money will support their work with Liberty, Girard, Niles, McDonald, TCTC and the Summit Acadamy Schools.

We are just ONE MONTH away from our seventh annual golf outing! Sign up today by either emailing, sending a message or calling. It is being held at the beautiful YCC golf course again and we will have some great items to raffle off. Even if you do not participate in golf, you can still sign up for the dinner and join in on the raffle! Hope to see you there and thank you for your support!

Thank you to everyone who came out to make our first 5k/1 mile walk a success. From your support, we were able to present a check to the Hubbard Elementary School for $750 at their July Board of Education meeting

Who We Are

Beacon of the Valley is a fund of the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. This fund started in January of 2018 and our members are : Jimmy Weller, Katie Weller, John Weller, Emily Hendershot, Annie Colucci, Mike DeliQuadri, Chris Chaky and Chad Wagner. We are very passionate about enhancing the quality of life for young children that need it most. The three different counties that we are focusing on are Trumbull, Mahoning and Mercer.
