Fresh or frozen meats or fresh vegetables from your garden, please bring them directly to the pantry while we’re open. Canned chicken and tuna, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, Chef Boyardee varieties, chili, beef stew, black, kidney, green and baked beans, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, instant oatmeal, and jelly.

We also need laundry and dish detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, all hygiene products (soap, body wash, shampoo, deodorant), household cleaning products, laundry products, dishwashing products, adult diapers, baby diapers, and pull-ups.

We are desperate to fill our shelves. Parish food donations have decreased and we’re getting less from the food bank. The need is still great! We actually need everything, but most needed include: chili and beef stew, Chef Boyardee, spaghetti sauce, canned chicken and tuna, canned beans(kidney, black, baked, etc.), cereal and instant oatmeal, toilet paper, paper towels, all personal hygiene items (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.), laundry, dish, and cleaning products. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations, Kathy. Very well deserved.

Congratulations, Kathy. Very well deserved.

Following her retirement from the UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Arnold resident Kathy Middel was eager to put her tremendous organizational skills to work in a volunteer role.

We are in the news! Thank you to Magothy Middle School for supporting our pantry and neighbors in need.

We are in the news! Thank you to Magothy Middle School for supporting our pantry and neighbors in need.

During NJHS meetings, students discussed nonprofit organizations they would like to support. This year, members chose to focus their efforts on helping children in need.

Our St. Vincent de Paul food pantry was last open on Friday, Jan. 23, the day before the last storm. We served 39 families with 197 bags of food that day and our pantry was cleared out. Our shelves are bare! Our volunteers want to reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 3, but in order to do that we need to completely restock.

We are in need of all of the basic food staples, including:

canned tuna and chicken,
pasta,
spaghetti sauce,
Chef Boyardee,
hearty soups,
chili,
beef stew
black beans,
kidney beans,
baked beans,
applesauce,
canned fruits,
peanut butter,
jelly,
instant and boxed potatoes,
rice,
cereal and oatmeal,
toilet paper,
paper towels,
personal hygiene items,
laundry detergent,
and cleaning supplies.

If you are able to donate any of these items, or anything else you may have, please drop off in the marked gray bins in the Gathering Space in the church at anytime. This Tuesday, Feb. 3, donations can be received as early as 9a.m. in the Blue Barn.

Your continued support helps us meet the needs of our community. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.

Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions!

God Bless!

Festival of Lessons and Carols
Join us Friday, Jan. 2, at 7p.m. in the church for the Festival of Lessons and Carols, a service of scripture and song that dates to the late 19th century. In this service, we listen to nine scripture lessons which recount the fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News. Each lesson is followed by a carol or other song that reflects on the lesson’s message and a brief prayer. Join us for a light holiday reception afterwards.
