We do not distribute pet food at GCFP, but county residents can visit Oconee Humane Society for help feeding their fur babies.

📣NEW- Pet Food distribution is moving across the parking lot to the shipping container. Please go to the shipping container for your pet food support starting May 5th.
🐾The Pet Food Pantry operates on donations and will offer dog/cat food when supply is available. To encourage compliance with SC rabies law and discourage unwanted stray cats and dogs throughout Oconee County, the Pet Food Pantry will require the following items for enrollment and renewal (after all holes have been punched):
*Oconee County Residency
*Proof of income
*Rabies Certificate for each pet on your application. Rabies vaccination is a state law.
*Spay/Neuter Proof. In order to minimize pet overpopulation and stray animals, patrons will be required to show proof that their pets have been spayed/neutered. This proof can be a document from a vet or if adopted from OHS you can ask OHS for records.

🐾Oconee Humane Society’s Vet Clinic, Well Pet Community Vet, offers rabies vaccines and spay/neuter services or you can use the veterinarian or Pet-Med provider of your choice. Go to our website, OconeeHumane.org and click on the vet clinic to sign up for an appointments as needed.

🐾OHS works with Oconee County government and Sheriff's department (Animal Control) to provide low-cost SNAC certificates based on income as funding is available. Please call or check at the OHS front desk to check on availability of Spay/Neuter Assistance Certificates/SNAC vouchers.

We just want to give all our clients who visit the Pantry on the first Saturday of every month plenty of notice that we will be closed on July 4th, 2026 in celebration of this very special Independence Day! Please try to make plans to visit the Pantry a few days before or a few days after Saturday, July 4th, or find someone who is willing and able to pick up food on your behalf for July. If you will be sending someone to pick up food for you, and they are not already on your record as authorized to pick up your food, please send a signed note with them, giving them permission to pick up your food in July.
We will return to our regular first Saturday schedule in Seneca and for our Westminster mobile pantry in August. Happy birthday to the United States of America!
