This week, we are proud to spotlight Nikki Krieger, Realtor with Clardy Real Estate, Membership Chair, Board Member, and President Nominee for the 2027–2028 Rotary year for the Rotary Club of Seneca.

Nikki first came to Rotary thanks to Steven & Susie Graves, but as she says, “the club sold itself.”

What keeps Nikki passionate about Rotary is seeing the tangible difference the organization makes throughout our community through programs like Student of the Month, Christmas Kids, Grace’s Closet, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Rotary, she says, gives her something positive to carry with her through life’s busy and challenging days.

Outside of Rotary and real estate, Nikki enjoys reading, traveling, classic American cars, and racing of all kinds. Her 1969 Chevy Camaro is one of her favorite passion projects.

One of Nikki’s favorite things about our community was watching Seneca come together after the 2020 tornado, when neighbors stepped up to help complete strangers simply because it was the right thing to do.

Nikki’s welcoming spirit, dedication, and passion for meaningful connection continue to play a tremendous role in strengthening and growing the Rotary Club of Seneca. We are incredibly grateful for her leadership and service.

ROTARIANS — BRING YOUR CHANGE FOR CART!

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, and it’s the perfect time for our Rotary family to rally behind the CART Fund (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust).

That spare change in your car, purse, pocket, or cupholder may not seem like much, but together, it becomes something powerful: hope, research, and progress toward a cure.

The Rotary Club of Seneca has an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, one coin at a time.

100% of CART donations go directly to Alzheimer’s research.
So this is your friendly reminder:

Bring your change to our June meetings!
Empty those cupholders!
Let’s fill the CART bucket!

Because small change really can change lives.

Thursday, the Rotary Club of Seneca welcomed Congresswoman Sheri Biggs to our weekly meeting.

Congresswoman Biggs
took time out of her schedule to stop by, introduce herself to our club, and share a few remarks about her role representing South Carolina's 3rd District.

We appreciate her visit and the opportunity to connect with one of our elected representatives.

Thank you, Congresswoman Biggs, for joining us, and thank you to all our members and guests who attended.

According to the Harvard Study of Adult Development—one of the longest-running studies on happiness and human connection—what matters most for health and happiness isn’t wealth or status… it’s relationships.

For nearly 90 years, Harvard researchers followed the lives of more than 700 people to better understand well-being, and their conclusion was clear: strong social connections improve our health, happiness, and quality of life.

Rotary International recently highlighted this powerful truth, noting that one meaningful way to build those connections is by volunteering alongside others in your community.

That’s exactly what Rotary is about. Service, yes—but also friendship, purpose, and belonging.

At Rotary Club of Seneca, we see firsthand how showing up for others also enriches our own lives.

Yesterday, the Rotary Club of Seneca proudly inducted Russ Weekley as our NEWEST member!

Russ serves as Pastor and Head of Staff at Seneca Presbyterian Church and brings with him a strong history of Rotary leadership, service, and community involvement. A former member of the Rotary Club of Lawrenceville, Russ previously served in several leadership roles including Foundation Chair, Secretary, President-Elect, and President, and is also a Paul Harris Fellow.

Russ shared that “Service Above Self” and building meaningful relationships are important reasons he continues to serve through Rotary, and we are honored to welcome him into our club family.

Please join us in welcoming Russ to the Rotary Club of Seneca!

Sometimes all it takes is a box of doughnuts and an invitation.

Back in 1995, Tom Kennedy stopped by Mike’s office with doughnuts for the staff and invited him to attend a Rotary meeting. New to Seneca and a new business owner at the time, Mike took a chance, and it became the beginning of a decades-long Rotary journey built on friendship, service, and community.

Today, Mike and his wife Debbie own Print It in Seneca, East Park Printing in Clemson, and D-Sign & Graphics, helping local businesses, churches, industries, and organizations throughout the Upstate with printing, signage, graphics, and marketing support.

One of Mike’s favorite Rotary memories was watching his daughter Kylie participate in Rotary Youth Exchange to Italy. An experience that perfectly reflects what Rotary means to him: building relationships and connections that reach far beyond our own community.

When he’s not serving through Rotary or supporting local businesses, Mike enjoys hiking, running, hunting, skiing out west, spending time on Lake Keowee, and enjoying beautiful sunrises across Oconee County. He also proudly summited Mt. Elbert in Colorado in 2017! The highest peak in the Rocky Mountains at a staggering 14,440 feet.

A talented bass singer, outdoor adventurer, business owner, family man, and dedicated Rotarian, Mike continues to help strengthen our club through his leadership, generosity, and servant heart.

Thank you, Mike, for everything you do for the Rotary Club of Seneca and our community.

A few fun facts about Mike:
Favorite view: Sunrise over Lake Keowee
Mountains over the beach
Text over phone calls
Cake over ice cream
Espresso made at home on his 30-year-old espresso machine
Enjoys singing bass in church choirs and musical groups
Dream destination: Croatia

Memorial Day - Rotary Club of Seneca

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a time of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy.

As Rotarians, Service Above Self reminds us that sacrifice in service to others is among the highest callings.

We remember the fallen. We honor their families. We remain grateful.
