Flag at half-staff

Friday, Sept. 11, marks the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Patriot Day serves as a remembrance of the lives lost on that September morning.

By a joint resolution approved Dec. 18, 2001, (Public Law 107-89) Sept. 11 has been designated as Patriot Day, which also directs American flags to be lowered to half-staff from dawn to dusk on Sept. 11.

June 27 is PTSD Screening Day, an opportunity to check in with yourself or encourage someone else to do the same. Many people live with symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) without recognizing them or knowing where to start.

A brief self-screen (set of questions) can help you better understand what you’re experiencing and whether it might be helpful to seek additional support. It’s free, confidential, and takes just a few minutes to complete.

Answering a few questions can make it easier to find the right resources and next steps.

This is wonderful news.

From small towns to major cities, honor guards across the country are carrying out one of the most sacred duties—honoring our veterans one final time.

Because of your support, these grants are helping ensure that no veteran is laid to rest without the dignity of military honors.

But there are still more to serve.
More families to support.
More honors to be rendered.

Be part of what comes next. 🇺🇸
