Today, we pause to honor the beautiful life and enduring legacy of Laraine “Dots” Kiely Harrison.

Although we never had the privilege of knowing Laraine personally, her extraordinary generosity continues to touch the lives of countless girls and families through Treasure Coast Girls Coalition.

Because of her legacy, doors are opening, dreams are taking flight, and opportunities are being created for the next generation of young women.

True philanthropy is not simply about what we give, but what continues to grow because we gave. 💙

To the entire Kiely family, thank you for entrusting us with a small part of her remarkable legacy. We remain committed to honoring her memory through meaningful service, responsible stewardship, and lasting impact.

Her wings may have carried her home, but her legacy continues to soar. 🦋🦋🦋

We’re so proud to highlight Janelle and the work she continues to do with TCGC! 🌻

Janelle is currently interning with us and has been a consistent part of our mobile food trailer and lemonade stand team. She also attends our summer camp during the summer. She has shown up for many of our recent community events, including the Sebastian River High School football games, and continues to bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn wherever she is needed.

We’re grateful to have her growing with us and gaining hands on experience while supporting the work we do in the community.

National Principals Month spotlight: Principal Tosha Jones of Indian River Academy.

Principal Jones leads Indian River Academy with innovation, curiosity, and strong relationships at the center. As a School of Aerospace and Robotics, IRA gives Space Bears hands-on opportunities in robotics, coding, engineering, and creative problem solving while ensuring every single student feels truly supported, inspired, and empowered to aim high.

One introduction can open the door to something meaningful.

When businesses, churches, civic organizations, friends, and community partners learn about the TCGC Adopt a Family campaign, they have an opportunity to directly invest in families right here within our programs.

A shared connection can become a Thanksgiving meal, needed household items, or one less expense for a parent during the holiday season.

That is what community support looks like in action.

🌻 WE ASKED. THEY PROCLAIMED. OUR GIRLS WERE RECOGNIZED. 🌻

Today was a moment. 💛

The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners officially recognized International Day of the Girl — and Treasure Coast Girls Coalition had the honor of standing there representing the girls we serve every single day.

What began as an idea became a request.
The request became a proclamation.
And today, it became part of the official record of Indian River County. 🙌🏽

For us, this is bigger than a piece of paper.

It says to every girl in our community:

✨ You are seen.
✨ You are valued.
✨ Your voice matters.
✨ Your community believes in your future.

At TCGC, we will continue doing what we were created to do: educate, elevate, and empower girls through leadership, STEAM, emotional wellness, mentorship, workforce readiness, and opportunities that help them see just how BIG their futures can be.

A special thank you to Commissioner Laura Moss for supporting this effort and helping bring the proclamation forward, and to the entire Indian River County Board of County Commissioners for recognizing the importance of investing in girls.

October 11 is International Day of the Girl.

But around here?

When a girl feels supported, it strengthens the foundation around her too.

Our Thanksgiving Adopt a Family campaign helps TCGC families experience the holiday with greater stability, dignity, and joy. It is a simple way to make sure the families connected to our programs know they are seen and valued.

That kind of support can mean more than a meal. It can mean relief, encouragement, and a reminder that their community is standing with them.

Thanksgiving can feel very different when a family is carrying extra financial stress.

For TCGC families, this campaign helps create one less worry during the holiday season. It helps make room for a warm meal, time together, and a little more peace at the table.

TCGC had such an amazing evening attending the Team Success 8th Annual Gala, The Year of the Impact! We were honored to attend and serve as a supporting sponsor for such a meaningful event. 🌻🚛

Our partnership with Team Success is one we truly value and are so grateful for. It means so much to work alongside organizations that are committed to making a positive impact in our community.

We are especially proud of our TCGC girls‼️ They did an amazing job volunteering throughout the evening and truly enjoyed being able to serve, connect, and be part of such a beautiful event.
