Celebrating Founders Day yesterday at the Delta Gamma house at University of Washington 🩵 Had such a blast, especially honoring two of board members with the Hope and Cable awards & Sarah Curfman!

Sisterhood that spans generations, traditions that never get old, and a reminder that being anchored in purpose still matters. Grateful for the women who built it, the ones who carry it, and the ones who are just getting started.

Here’s to doing good, doing life together, and doing it with a little sparkle. ⚓️✨

Please join us for our next book club gathering.  We will be discussing our book from January (My Friends by Fredrik Backman) and our new pick All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker

A missing person mystery, a serial killer thriller, a love story, a unique twist on each, Chris Whitaker has written a novel about what lurks in the shadows of obsession and the blinding light of hope.

We had a blast with Boehm’s! Touring their factory and chalet was definitely a highlight of this year’s programming. We love seeing and supporting local businesses, and sampling chocolate too 😉🍫

Another DG, Doing Good, Kimberly Wagoner.

“I have been volunteering with SolidGround.org 2024-2025 as a cooking assistant for their cooking classes, Farmacia free farmer’s market, Sandpoint Food Pantry, Marra Densmore Farm to help with gardening/weeding/ washing/prepping food for the local Food Banks and Farmacia sites. My daughter Julie Wagoner is the volunteer coordinator for Solid Ground. She’s also a recent graduate of UW 2023 in Jackson School/French and Anthropology and played clarinet in UW Marching Band. She’s still quite active in alumni UW Marching Band. I love volunteering through Solid Ground. They have many volunteer opportunities as well. The farm is open March through end of October and takes work party groups and only requires a farm waiver. It’s located in South Park. Also the preschool team has an education program that travels to schools in the community, leads preschool tours of the farm.  I’m hoping to shadow to be a preschool farm tour assistant.”

Next up for Do Good week, from our very own SADG Board, Valerie Dillard!

“I’ve been doing good weekly at Seattle Children’s Hospital at the front desk of the Family Resource Center since 2017. We provide toiletries, shower rooms and towel service, access to laundry machines and detergent, computers and printers, faxing/scanning/copying/notary services, caregiver massages, complimentary coffee and tea, and more. I love that we offer a quiet and helpful space for caregivers and families during what can be a scary and stressful moment in their lives.”
