Our co-op offers a part-time preschool program that provides a nurturing learning environment for parents and children.

The Infants Class
Age Range: 0-12 Months
Time: Tuesdays, 10:00 – 11:30 am (1.5 hours/week)
Drop-Off: N/A
Tuition: $85/month
Status: Spots Available

The Toddlers Class
Age Range: 1-2 Years
Time: Thursdays, 9:30 – 11:30 am (2 hours/week)
Drop-Off: N/A
Tuition: $100/month
Status: FULL – Join the waitlist

The Twos Class
Age Range: 2-3 Years
Time: Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:30 – 11:30 am (4 hours/week)

Drop-Off: 1 day/week
Tuition: $165/month
Status: Spots Available

The 3-5s Class
Age Range: 3-5 Years
Time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays, 12:15 – 3:15 pm (9 hours/week)
Drop-Off: 2 days/week
Tuition: $275/month
Status: Spots Available

Pre-K Class
Age Range: 4-5 Years
Time: In addition to the 3-5s class times, the Pre-K students attend on Fridays, 12:15 – 3:15 pm (total of 12 hours/week)
Drop-off: 3 days/week (includes the 3-5s class times)
Tuition: $340/month
Status: Spots Available

The Mixed Age Class (MAC)
Age Range: 1-3 Years
Time: Mondays, 9:30 – 11:30 am (2 hours/week)
Drop-Off: N/A
Tuition: $80/month
Status: Spots Available

Mini Explorers
Age Range: 0-2 Years
Time: More details coming soon! (1.5 hours/week)
Drop-Off: N/A
Tuition: $60/month
This off-campus outdoors class is an optional add-on class for students enrolled in the Infants, Toddlers, and Mixed Age Class. Junior Explorers
Age Range: 2-5 Years
Time: Tuesdays, 9:30 - 11:30 am (2 hours/week)
Drop-Off: N/A
Tuition: $80/month
This off-campus outdoors class is an optional add-on class for students enrolled in the Twos or 3-5s/Pre-K Class.

Sunday Storytime at the Ballard Locks! 📚☀️
Join Ballard Bookworms this Sunday, July 12 at 10:30am for Summer Storytime at the Ballard Locks, featuring Music Together from Music Center of the Northwest!
Bring a blanket, soak up the sun, and let the kids move, sing, and explore music together right on the lawn. It's a great way to connect with other Ballard families while your little ones discover the joy of rhythm and song.

🌞 What a way to wrap up the year, BPC fam!
We gathered under the trees to celebrate our little learners and everything they've grown into this year. Picnic spreads, a rainbow cake, balloons, and so many happy faces — including our graduates ready for their next big adventure. 🎈
This is what coop preschool is all about: kids exploring and playing side by side, and a parent community that shows up for each other. Wishing everyone a sunny, slow, joy-filled summer. We can't wait to do it all again in the fall. 💛

🌲 Junior Explorers close out the year at Carkeek Park!
For our final week, we returned to a JE tradition: the hike to the Snack Tree. We've made this trek at least once a season all year, and it's been amazing to watch how much has changed—more leaves, fewer mushrooms, and the most active birds we've seen yet. The biggest change of all? Our friends. Their stamina, confidence, and sense of their own strength have grown so much since fall.
Back at basecamp, the fun kept going with parachute toss-offs from the play structure and a gloriously silly round of shower curtain painting—where the best part was watching a friend's brushstrokes appear on the other side of your "canvas."
What a year of curiosity, growth, and community. 💛

🚀 Two's class blasted off into outer space this week!
We read about the moon, planets, and astronauts during circle time, then turned our wonder into art. Friends layered cotton balls, watery paint, and glitter to make their own galaxy bottles — amazed as the cotton seemed to vanish and the colors stayed bright and separate. We also swirled paint into starch to reveal one-of-a-kind planets, peeling back the paper for a little burst of magic. ✨
So much curiosity, focus, and joy in every little hand. 💛

🦀🌊 Mini Explorers at the beach! 🌊🦀

Our Mini Explorers headed down to the water at low tide with Teacher Zoe for a shoreline adventure full of discovery. Friends searched for sea creatures along the beach and spotted crabs, geoducks, sea snails, and more!

From peeking into tide pools to exploring the sand and rocks, it was a wonderful day of hands-on learning and curiosity by the water. 💛

🌊🦀 Tide pooling adventures with Junior Explorers! 🦀🌊

Our Junior Explorers explored the shoreline at Golden Gardens during low tide, searching for marine life hidden among the rocks and tide pools. Friends discovered sea anemones, crabs, moon snails, a sea star, and even a nudibranch — all while learning how to carefully explore and protect delicate beach habitats.

The day also included feeding ducks and turtles healthy snacks, observing ducklings along the water, and winding down with watercolor shell painting in the sand. A beautiful day full of curiosity, creativity, and hands-on connection with the natural world. 💛
