Lao Community Service Center of WA

Lao Community Service Center of WA Our organization was formed by a group of Lao community members who saw a need in our community.

The Lao community has been in the United States for over 40 years and although we have come a long way, we have yet to have a physical home where we can gather. It has been a dream for all of us to build a community center for the Lao people. A place where we can offer our community with social, cultural, and educational services. A place where our elders can come to to share their stories and the

richness of our culture. A place where the younger generation can come and learn about their past and build for their future.

🐎 Sabaidee Pi Mai! Happy Lao New Year 2026! 💦

We are incredibly proud to share that Governor Bob Ferguson has issued an official proclamation recognizing Lao New Year for the state of Washington! A heartfelt thank‑you to Washington State Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs and staff for the behind‑the‑scenes support in connecting with the Governor’s Office.

This meaningful recognition honors the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and contributions of the Lao community across our state. Pi Mai is a time of renewal, reflection, and celebration—marked by water blessings, family gatherings, and the strengthening of community bonds.

As we celebrate this special occasion, we uplift the resilience, history, and vibrant spirit of Lao people in Washington and beyond. May this new year bring peace, prosperity, good health, and happiness to all.
