Somali Community Services of Seattle is a non-profit philanthropic organization that works to improve the quality of life for low-income families and members of the refugee and immigrant community. We provide services such as housing assistance, immigration case management, citizenship classes, ESL classes, computer skills classes, workers rights and tenant rights education, legal assistance for clearing drug related convictions, tax credit outreach and assistance with taxes and credit applications, assistance with applications for Seattle Democracy Vouchers that can be used to support local candidates, youth sports and educational programming, cultural dancing lessons, and so much more. We are introducing new programs every year, so check in with us frequently.

The long-promised Graham Street light rail station would go from limbo to back on track if Sound Transit board members approve an amendment advanced by Katie Wilson, Girmay Zahilay, and Teresa Mosqueda. The proposal promises "last in" funding from King County and Seattle.
