Founded in 2009, HKAW Foundation engages in events that support the advancement of Asian American and Pacific Islander in the fields of Education, Health, Science, Athletic, and Human Services. ormance by famous Chinese Jing Hu artist Lucy Wu. Fundraising: The Hong Kong Association of Washington Foundation utilize this first class event as a fundraiser for different charitable causes, past donation has been made to Seattle Children's Hospital, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and others. The benefactor for the 2012 Chinese New Year Gala will be the Washington Initiative for Supported Employment, in their noble work of assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to obtain sustainable and gainful employment.
