An invitation to play NPR’s Tiny Desk. More than $7,000 in travel, lodging, and gear rentals to get there. For 2025 Sonic Guild Artist Grant recipient Ellie / Ollella (oh-lel-uh), that opportunity came with a major expense.

“Without this Sonic Guild grant, that 7k would have come out of my pocket.”

The $10,000 grant meant being able to focus on the music and the moment ahead.

That’s why these grants are unrestricted. Artists know what they need, and sometimes the next big step comes with a plane ticket.

Who should get the grant next?

Nominate a Seattle-area artist for the 2026 Artist Grants by October 20. Ten artists will each receive $10,000.

One week left to nominate an artist for the 2026 Sonic Guild Seattle Artist Grants. 🎶

Think of the artist whose show you never miss. The band you keep telling your friends about. The musician making something you wish more people could hear.

Help put them on our radar. And if that artist is you, nominate yourself.

Anyone can nominate. One nomination is all it takes for an eligible artist to be considered, and multiple nominations do not increase their chances.

We’re incredibly proud to welcome six Pacific Northwest artists to this year’s Music’s In Our Blood campaign with Bloodworks Northwest:

From October through January, these six artists will use their music, live shows, and platforms to inspire our community to give blood and share their own connections to blood donation along the way.

This year, we’re working toward a big goal: inspiring 20,000 new and returning donors across the Pacific Northwest. And giving once is only the beginning.

It takes 1,000 donors every day to keep our local blood supply stable, and one donation can help save up to three lives. Consistent donors help keep that lifesaving supply available when our community needs it.

Nominations are OPEN for the 2026 Sonic Guild Seattle Artist Grants. 🎶

This year, 10 Seattle-area artists will each receive $10,000, putting $100,000 directly into the hands of local musicians.

Know an artist whose music deserves to be heard? Nominate them. Work with someone doing incredible things? Nominate them. Have a band or project of your own? Nominate yourself.

Anyone can nominate, and one nomination is all it takes for an eligible artist to be considered. Multiple nominations do not increase an artist’s chances.

Who’s eligible?
Artists must be active working musicians creating original music, performing regularly, and pursuing a professional music career, and be based within approximately 100 miles of Seattle, including Tacoma, Olympia, Bellingham, and the surrounding region.

Artists do not need to be Sonic Guild members or have previously performed at a Sonic Guild event.

Sonic Guild is a community of people who believe local music is worth investing in. Our members come together at shows throughout the year to discover and celebrate local artists, while their support funds grants and programs that put resources directly into musicians’ hands.
