⚽️VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!⚽️
Another exciting season of youth soccer at Scottdale Soccer Club starts this Saturday, and we need your help in the concessions stand! Once you fulfill two one-hour shifts, we will reimburse the $50 volunteer fee that you paid at registration (U6 & older). You do not have to miss your child's game - you can sign up for any time slot - and you can also work two hours at once or split it up. Signing up is easy - just click the link below:

⚽️ We are looking for a new Concessions Director! You can help make a big impact on the success of our club, benefiting local youth athletes. Weekly duties include monitoring the volunteer schedule,
opening/closing the stand during games, taking inventory, and ensuring that concessions runs smoothly.

⚽️ This Wednesday, September 2 at 5:30pm at the fields there will be a referee course for all current players who are in their second year (third season) of U10 or older. If your child is interested in becoming a referee, here is their chance! All current refs are also encouraged to attend as a refresher.

SSC families, please add these important dates to your calendars:

⚽️ Saturday, September 5 is opening day! Here is our game schedule for Saturdays this season:

TK - 12:00 pm
U6 - 11:00 am
U8 - 10:00 am
U10 - 9:00 & 10:00 am
U12/14 - 11:00 am & 12:00 pm

U10 & U12/14 coaches will be in touch this week regarding individual team schedules.

⚽️ This Wednesday, September 2 at 5:30pm at the fields there will be a referee course for all current players who are in their second year (third season) of U10 or older. ⚽️ Monday, September 28 will be the Southmoreland Lady Scotties high school girls’ soccer team’s Community Night game at Southmoreland Stadium. All SSC players who attend and wear their SSC jerseys will get in for free! U12/14 players will also be invited to play on the field at halftime. More details coming soon!

⚽️ Thursday, October 1 will be the Southmoreland Scotties high school boys’ soccer team’s Community Night game at Southmoreland Stadium. All SSC players who attend and wear their SSC jerseys will get in for free! U8 & U10 players will also be invited to play on the field at halftime. More details coming soon!

⚽️ Attention! Attention! Practices start this week! ⚽️

U12/14 (birth dates 8/1/12 - 7/31/16) will practice on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM, starting August 25. A text was sent out to all U12/14 families last week regarding communications, so please check your texts if you haven't already. Email [email protected] with any U12/14 questions.

U10 (birth dates 8/1/16 - 7/31/18) will hold a group practice on Tuesday, August 25 at 6:00 PM. The day of the week for future practices may change once teams are determined, depending on the individual coaches' availability.

U8 (birth dates 8/1/18 - 7/31/20) will practice on Mondays at 6:30 PM, starting on August 24.

U6 (birth dates 8/1/20 - 7/31/22) will practice on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM, starting on August 25.

Tiny Kickers (birth dates 8/1/22 - 7/31/23) do not practice, so they will meet for the first time on opening day, September 5. Time TBD.

Individual teams have not yet been determined. Coaches or commissioners will reach out once that has been done. Opening day will be Saturday, September 5, and the game schedule will be released soon.

⚽️ First volunteer opportunity of the season, coming up this weekend! This Saturday, August 22, we will be holding a Field Day to prepare for the upcoming season, and we need your help! From 9:00 a.m. until noon we will be at our Chris Kiefer Memorial Soccer Fields at Kendi Park to layout and paint fields, move and repair goals, move bleachers, clean the concessions stand and bathrooms, and other various tasks that need to be completed prior to the start of the season. Two hours of working will earn your volunteer fee refund! Please make sure you sign in when you arrive. See you there (weather permitting)!
