Last night, our Aquatics Team gathered under the camp pavilion to review policies, refresh procedures, and get ready for a safe and exciting summer season at the Y! Plenty of great conversations, teamwork, and of course — Tacos (because every good meeting needs tacos)! We’re ready to make this summer full of fun, friendship, and safe swimming for all.

Did you know that in the late 1800s, Y immigration secretaries greeted hundreds of thousands of new arrivals at Ellis Island (New York) and Angel Island (San Francisco), helping them locate family members, housing and employment? Together, we’re making a lifesaving impact.

We’re proud to share that the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA has been recognized by the American Red Cross Premier Blood Partners Program for collecting 73 blood donations in 2025!

Every donation has the power to help save lives, and this accomplishment would not be possible without our incredible community of donors, volunteers, and supporters. Thank you for showing up, giving back, and making a difference when it matters most.

We’re grateful to partner with the American Red Cross to support patients and families in need — and we can’t wait to continue this important work together.

We’re proud to share that members of our team attended the YPN Chapter 17 Recognition Luncheon on Friday, where our Aquatics Director, Stephanie Uske, was honored with the Cause-Driven Leader Award for Youth Development!

This recognition reflects the incredible dedication our team brings to strengthening our community and supporting youth every day through the YMCA mission.
