The Somerset Patriots are stepping onto the field as the New York Black Yankees for one unforgettable night — honoring the legendary Negro Leagues team that once played across New York, Paterson, and Rochester - fireworks included!
Expect a full evening of baseball, music, food, and family‑friendly energy and post game fireworks as the Patriots rebrand with custom jerseys and hats designed to give the Black Yankees the identity they never had.
Those game‑worn jerseys will be auctioned live, with proceeds benefiting the Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM) — Central NJ’s museum dedicated to preserving African American history and culture.
