If you can’t support yourself or your own family…don’t expect a club or chapter to lend a helping hand every time you’re in need. It’s a two way street. Stay solid 👊🏼⚡️⚡️
MCs need solid dudes.
MCs do make good men better. They give structure to its members and hold them accountable but that’s not their main job.
MCs are there to build Brotherhood centered on our love of the motorcycle.
If you are thinking of joining an MC, then get your s**t together first. Don’t make the MC force you to do it.
Make sure you have a running bike – Breakdowns happen. (Especially if you have a chopper named Trick Bag) but you need to be prepared to handle things. Have AAA or money for a tow truck. If the club Brothers come through with a trailer, then great, but you should be prepared to handle it on your own if necessary.
Make sure you’re legal – Driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement and insurance (and state inspection if required) are all things you should have in place before approaching the MC and you need to maintain these things. Don’t make the Road Captain be a dick to you.
Life insurance – don’t make the club go into hock to put your ass in the ground.
MCs need solid dudes who will make solid life decisions. MCs do not need dudes who will be a burden on the other Brothers.
And just to cut off the push back I know is coming
– Yes, your Brothers will be there to help you but at some point it is expected you will be in a position to help the Brothers when they need it.
This can’t be a one way situation where you’re always the one needing help. That’s what the article is talking about.
