If you feel nothing and don’t contribute to your chapter and club…well, maybe it’s time to hang it up. The work doesn’t stop once you receive those patches, it’s a commitment day in and day out, one way or another. In those colors you are a representation of your chapter, nation, and all those before you who laid the foundation. Don’t f**k it up. Good little read for the day. 👊🏼⚡️⚡️🇺🇸
Patches
What do you feel when you look at your vest and see the patches you have committed to?
I'm not talking about the dirt, holes, and faded materials that come from years of wear and tear. A brand new patch holder may not have that yet.
What do your patches represent? Not what you learned as a prospect: this color represents this, and that color represents that. That's what someone decided when they designed your patches.
What do you feel in your soul when you look at your vest hanging in its spot at the house? What do you feel while riding under them?
Hopefully you feel pride and a sense of responsibility. Hopefully you feel the weight of everyone who wore them before you and currently wears them.
By putting them on, you have committed to representing them and protecting their reputation. Everything you do wearing (and even when not wearing) those patches directly reflects on those members.
It is all about the members, past and present. It isn't about you, and if you don't understand this, you have some serious growing to do.
