Hi, I’m George! I’m a sweet boy with a gentle soul, and I’m looking for a home where I can get all the pets I can ever want. I absolutely love chin scratches and snuggling up in soft, comfy blankets.

I like to keep an eye on all the action around the house, though sometimes I prefer watching from afar where I feel cozy and secure. I may not be the first cat to run up to strangers, but with kindness, patience, and love, I’ll show you what a sweet companion I can be.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Oscar and I am a 10-month-old, 24-lb. mix with a heart of gold. I have tons of love to give and am ready for my forever home!

I am told that for a puppy I'm learning everything very quickly. I'm completely potty-trained and I'm learning simple commands like "sit" and "stay". I do love my walks but have not yet mastered walking straight. Zig-zagging is so much easier! I'm even starting to fetch the ball once in a while.

I am dog-friendly and can live with canine companions. I take direction well when they've had enough of my "puppy play". I have not been tested with cats yet, but I LOVE kids of all ages!

My foster family crates me on the rare occasions that they are not home, but I think it's just because they are unsure how I will do as a puppy if not supervised. I'm a devoted and affectionate pup, just waiting to give my heart to my new family.

Fun facts: I love my canine siblings, chew bones, being in the car, sniffing around in the backyard, and just being a playful puppy! I get spurts of energy, then relax, taking long naps. I am not a fan of the thunder and storms but have found my safe spot under the couch.

Hi, I’m Finch! I’m a sweet, chatty little guy who loves being close to my people. If you scoop me up and carry me around, I’ll happily settle right into your arms like that’s exactly where I belong—because, honestly, it is. I may even tell you all about my day while you hold me!

I get along wonderfully with cats, kids, and adults, and I’d love to join a family with at least one other kitty so I’ll always have a friend to play with when my humans are away. I’m especially close to my sister, Wren, and if we could be adopted together, that would be a dream come true.

When it comes to playtime, I love toy balls and tiny mice. I also have a very important scientific hobby: carefully placing my toys into the water bowl to see what happens. Every time, I hope they’ll swim—but they always just float. I find it endlessly fascinating!

When I’m not playing, chatting, or conducting research, you’ll usually find me perched by a window, quietly watching the world go by. I’m a curious, loving boy who’s ready to fill his forever home with affection, entertainment, and plenty of conversation.

Hi! I’m Fowler! If you want a fun, playful, biscuit maker all rolled into one cat, then I’m your boy. I take my baking very seriously and am known as the best biscuit maker around! I’m very curious and will steal your toothbrush if you’re not careful! Boy oh boy, I’m sweet. I will cuddle with you at bedtime and purr like there’s no tomorrow. I can be cautious when I first meet you, but once I warms up, I will be a friend for life.

I’m also extremely respectful of my housemates. I know exactly how to give other cats their alone time, and dogs don't bother me at all—if they surprise me, I simply take my adventures to the next room.

I need to be adopted with my brother, Coop, or by a family that has another cat. I need another kitty in the house.

Pepper is arriving tomorrow and is destined for the kennel unless someone can give her a home. Can you help?

Meet Pepper! 🐾❤️

Six-year-old Pepper is an 18-pound Miniature Poodle who is ready to leave her breeding days behind and discover what it means to simply be someone’s beloved companion.

Pepper is a shelter favorite and it’s easy to see why. She is sweet, affectionate, and loves to be held. She is already showing everyone what a special girl she is. Pepper is also great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around.

Pepper can occasionally flinch at fast movements, but she recovers quickly and doesn't stay worried for long. Once she realizes she is safe, she's happy to settle in for some attention—and she especially loves belly rubs! 🥰

As a breeder-release dog, Pepper will still need time to adjust to all the new experiences that come with life outside a breeding environment. Dogs like Pepper often transition faster and gain confidence more quickly when they have another dog in their new home to show them the ropes. A canine companion would be wonderful for Pepper, but it is not required.

Pepper is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Compatibility with cats and small children is currently unknown.

When she arrives, Pepper will need to be spayed, and Almost Home Foundation will cover the cost of her spay.

Pepper has spent six years waiting for the chance to be more than a breeding dog. Now this sweet girl is ready for soft beds, loving arms, belly rubs, doggy friends, and a family who will show her just how wonderful life can be. 🐾💕

Harris arrives tomorrow. We'd love for him to have a home to go to rather than the kennel! Can you help?

Five-year-old Harris is a 25-pound Jack/Parson Russell Terrier who is ready to leave his breeding days behind and discover what it means to simply be a beloved dog. ❤️

Harris is a breeder release who quickly became a favorite of volunteers. He is a great little guy who is already working on his leash skills — and doing really well (see video in comments)! He is also good with other dogs.

Jack/Parson Russell Terriers are known for being high-energy, intelligent, vocal working terriers. They are clever, spirited little dogs who thrive when they have structure, enrichment, training, and plenty of opportunities to use their busy minds and bodies. Experience with terriers or other energetic working breeds would definitely be a plus for Harris!

Shelter workers have noticed that in his kennel, Harris can be a little bouncy and energetic, but once he gets out and about, he's much more interested in people and what they're up to than being a menace. 😉 He has a fun personality and seems to really enjoy being around people.

Dogs coming from breeder situations often transition more quickly and gain confidence faster when they have another dog in their new home to show them the ropes. While a canine companion can be incredibly helpful for Harris, it is not required. He is making wonderful progress and will continue to blossom with patience, consistency, and love. Compatibility with cats and small children is currently unknown.

When Harris arrives, he will need to be neutered, and Almost Home Foundation will cover the cost of his neuter.

Harris has spent enough of his life being part of a breeding program. Now he's ready for the best chapter yet—a family, a soft bed, and someone who will love him simply for being Harris. 🐶💙

Hi, I’m Falcon! I’m a talkative, confident little guy who likes to take life at my own pace. I always seem to have something to say, whether I’m greeting my people, sharing my thoughts about dinner, or offering commentary on whatever is happening around me. Honestly, I’m happy to have a conversation with just about anyone who’s willing to listen!

I’m gentle and easygoing with other cats and tend to bring a calm, steady presence wherever I go. Mealtime is one of my favorite parts of the day, and I’m usually ready to be first in line when the food arrives.

One of my favorite ways to show that I trust you is by flopping over and showing off my belly—and yes, I enjoy belly rubs! I also love sitting on my human’s lap for pets and attention, happily soaking up affection while keeping you company. I get along wonderfully with cats, kids, and adults, and I’d love to join a family with at least one other kitty so I’ll always have a friend to play with when my humans are away. I’d love to be adopted with one of my siblings, if possible.
