American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF)

American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) AVMF is the charitable arm of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of veterinary medicine to improve both animal and human health. Through our four key pillars—REACH (Reaching Every Animal with Charitable Healthcare), Disaster Relief, Education, and Research—AVMF works to support veterinarians, future veterinary professionals, and animals in need. The REACH Progra

m is a vital initiative that provides grants to veterinarians, ensuring that pets whose families are facing financial hardship receive the urgent care they need. REACH helps remove financial barriers to life-saving treatments, ensuring that no pet is denied care simply because their family is struggling financially. Your support of AVMF allows us to continue this critical work, from disaster relief efforts to educational opportunities for future veterinary professionals and groundbreaking research. Together, we’re advancing veterinary medicine and improving the lives of animals and their families.

🌟 Donor spotlight: Dr. Arnold Goldman’s lifelong commitment to veterinary medicine and service is reflected in his many leadership roles across the profession.

Over the years, he has served in numerous capacities, including a six-year term as AVMA treasurer, leadership roles on AVMA committees focused on governance and advocacy, and as a member of the AVMF Board of Directors.

Today, Dr. Goldman brings that breadth of experience to his role as an officer on the AVMF Development Council, helping champion the Foundation’s mission to support veterinary professionals, advance animal health and strengthen the profession.

We’re grateful for Dr. Goldman’s leadership, generosity and continued belief in what we can accomplish together through AVMF. 💙

: The latest Just One Thing blog encourages AVMA members to spend just 15 minutes learning about a valuable resource. 🩺🐾

This month's post highlights the AVMF REACH Program® and explains why taking a few minutes to understand it before you need it can make all the difference when caring for pets whose families need financial assistance.

In the latest Just One Thing blog, we ask you to spend 15 minutes getting familiar with the AVMF REACH Program® - a benefit available to AVMA members to support charitable care for pets in need.

Just knowing about the program’s availability can provide peace of mind to veterinary teams when needy patients arrive at the hospital. And like many helpful tools, REACH is much easier to use when you’ve taken a few minutes to understand it before you need it. Learn more: https://bit.ly/44QPNgn
