Updates of Pack 195 to all current/former Cubs, Families & Communities:
Hoping to get more leaders & Cub Scouts especially have our CO real soon. If anyone knows who'd like to be our CO or become leaders as well as youth interested in joining go online beascout.scouting.org to register & for leaders/CO please message Cubmaster Jhina 831-585-6077. Thank you so much for your support & belief in our Scouting America (formerly Boy Scout Of America) scouting programs for our YOUTH ages 5-21.
Our Pack 195 has been servicing our Youth for 60+yrs & have former Cubs who earned highest Rank as Eagle Scouts. For 2024 our SSPCC 456-1 NFP is no longer our CO as of 1st January 2025. Previous to SSPCC it was Our Redeemers United Methodist Church for a very long time. We are currently in need of our CO, COR, ExecOfcr to maintain our Pack or it will be folded. Its deadline 1/1/25 & latest 4/1/25 yet we are all paid til Dec2025.
Fortunately. Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church provided us their church like the Greatroom for our meetings for 3+yrs now & we2 are all endlessly grateful. For other meetings, we meet outdoors at various locations like public parks in SPD, HEPD, Citizens Park, Busse Woods, Spring Vally Nature Center, Campanelli Park/Playground, Volkening Lake Park, Bock, MRC, CRC, Gray Farm Conservation, libraries STDL, Panera, Dunkin Donuts, and overnights at various locations like WMM USS Cobia WWII Submarine, O'Brien Woods, Bartlett Nature Center, Crabtree Nature Center, Cook County Forest Preserves & other day trips like Dads Slot Cars, Bowling, and the annual PTAC events like weekend camping at Camp Betz, Owasippe, Woodfield Mall for Pinewood Derby, etc.
We joined with other units for activities like with Pack 194 in 2023-24 for hiking & Fourth Of July Bike Parade, Pack 397 in 2024 for Bear Den & Pack 495 since 2023. Pack 495 were with our Pack plus with 2 Scouts from Troop 29 where we won the 2023 SeptemberFest Parade Amateur Float where together we marched on a hot day then in front of the Judges presented our Flags, recited the Pledge Of Allegiance & the BSA Scout Oath then marched with our wagon of useful tools whilst our Scouts all worked together and they all did amazing! Also, joined with Troop 29 & 297 for hiking, overnights, events and 3yrs now for the annual Flags presentation for 6th Grade Graduation at Hanover Highlands with Troops 29, 196, 392, Sea Scouts, Venturing Crew & Pack 100.
