It is with sincere disappointment that we announce postponing Walk a Mile in My Shoes event scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, due to inclement weather and our concern for the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
While we are saddened that we will not be able to come together as planned, we want you to know how incredibly grateful we are for the tremendous support, dedication, and enthusiasm you have shown throughout our fundraising efforts.
Every registration, donation, sponsorship, volunteer commitment, shared post, encouraging word, and act of support has helped make this initiative meaningful. Your willingness to stand alongside the Savannah Center for Blind and Low Vision and support our mission of creating awareness, inclusion, and opportunities for individuals who are blind or visually impaired means more to us than we can express.
Although the weather may have changed our plans, it has not changed our purpose or our commitment to this event.
