Some people come to the concert. Diana Riggle became part of the band.
Early in 2019, she heard the The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra for the first time. At that concert, we announced a trip to Israel and said anyone was welcome to come. Diana said yes, the way she said yes to everything.
She traveled with us from Times Square to the Sea of Galilee. She spent hours in the studio, opened her home, and hosted concerts in her yard. She never had children of her own, but she adopted all of us: musicians, spouses, and kids. We gave her the title "Consulting Producer," and she earned it.
Diana was one of the first true advocates of Equinox Global Missions. She had seen firsthand what music can do for a person. It made her feel young, free, and deeply loved. She was, and still is.
Diana Riggle (1942–2023). Her generosity is still part of everything we do: in nursing homes, in summer camps, and wherever the mission takes us.
