King Plastic Corporation has been a generous and dedicated supporter of Suncoast Charities for Children for many years as a sponsor of our Thunder By The Bay Sporting Clay Tournament fundraiser.

Our sincere thanks to Charlie King and his father, Jeff King, for their continued support towards our mission to fund critical programs and services to local children, teens, and adults with special needs. Founded in 1968, King Plastic Corporation began as a small family business. Today, the company is the leading manufacturer of high-quality polymer sheets, slabs, and massive shapes, and it recently received the “GEM” Award from North Port’s Economic Development Division.

Beyond their support of Suncoast Charities for Children, King Plastic Corporation actively supports local and national charitable initiatives, focusing on community infrastructure, children's services, and affordable housing. Notable contributions include partnering with the YMCA of Southwest Florida to fund an early learning facility, sponsoring affordable housing with Habitat for Humanity, and running annual holiday toy drives.

When you dine in or order takeout at participating restaurants, including Columbia Restaurant at St. Armands Circle and Cha Cha Coconuts, you’ll receive a ballot with your receipt. Simply vote for Suncoast Charities for Children, and the Gonzmart Family Foundation will make a contribution equal to 5% of your qualifying food and beverage purchase to our organization in the form of restaurant gift certificates — at no additional cost to you!

We are incredibly grateful to the Gonzmart Family for once again selecting Suncoast Charities for Children to participate in this wonderful annual tradition. Since Community Harvest began in 1998, the program has donated more than $4.8 million to nonprofit organizations throughout Florida!

🎄⚓ 40 Years of Holiday Magic on the Water! ⚓🎄

For 40 years, the Holiday Boat Parade of Lights has brought our community together to celebrate the holiday season — and to make a difference for local children, teens, and adults with special needs. ❤️

This beloved tradition is organized by Suncoast Charities for Children, a nonprofit organization that receives no direct financial support from the City or County. The parade is made possible entirely through the generosity of local corporate sponsors, businesses, and individual donors.

And it’s about much more than a spectacular night on the water. Net proceeds from the event help fund critical programs and services provided by 10 local agencies, impacting more than 10,000 children, teens, and adults with special needs and their families.

Suncoast Charities for Children mourns the sudden loss of Chuck Carroll, who volunteered a tremendous amount of time photographing multiple events for our charity over the years.

Most notably, Chuck generously dedicated a full ten days to photographing the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival for many years. He had such a big heart when it came to volunteering his time to support multiple charities and sharing his outstanding talent as a photographer.

Chuck’s kindness, generosity, and passion for helping others touched so many lives, and we are incredibly grateful for the time and talent he shared with Suncoast Charities for Children.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Chuck’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Chuck, and thank you for all the lives you touched. You will be deeply missed. ❤️
