Working as a first responder comes with a heavy weight that isn't always visible. Between the long shifts and the critical calls, the mental and emotional toll is real. That’s why programs like Barry’s Boats are so vital for our members.

We are proud to share that one of our own was recently sponsored for a private charter on the water—a much-needed opportunity to decompress, reset, and step away from the stresses of the job.

This program was created in honor of Fairfax County Captain Barry Maham, a dedicated leader who believed in the healing power of the water. We are honored to see his legacy continue by supporting the well-being of our Sarasota firefighters.

A huge THANK YOU to Insurance by Barker and Reel Tight Charters for making this possible. Your support of first responder mental health and the Sarasota Firefighters Benevolent Fund truly makes a difference.
