Celebrate National Black Birders Week in the Adirondacks!

Join Northern NY Audubon and other community partners for a special evening honoring Black voices in birding and conservation. As part of the Adirondack Black Birders Week Celebration, we’re excited to welcome renowned ornithologist, naturalist, and author Dr. J. Drew Lanham for an inspiring conversation.

Dr. Lanham will share insights from his work and books—including The Home Place, Sparrow Envy, and Joy is the Justice We Give Ourselves—followed by a chance to meet him and purchase signed copies.

This event is part of a week-long celebration (May 24–30) uplifting diversity, inclusion, and joy in birding across the Adirondack region. All are welcome!
