Dear Joan, thank you for performing with the Vicente Chamber Orchestra yesterday at Bel Air Church. Your interpretation of Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, “Turkish,” was superb and was the perfect ending to our 9th season. Your beautiful tone and musicianship filled the hall with warmth and love, bringing everyone together as a community as we honored Paul and Mary Ann Cummins. Thank you, Joan.

⭐ Compozitorul Arnold Schönberg spunea despre Simfonia nr. 9 de G. Mahler: „Este cea mai pură muzică pe care Mahler a scris-o vreodată. În simfonia a noua, el a abandonat orice urmă de sentimentalism și a intrat într‑o lume cu totul nouă”. O partitură ce face trecerea către modernism, fiind una dintre cele mai emoționante lucrări din istoria muzicii.

✨ Vineri, 13 martie 2026, vom asculta această lucrare muzicală specială interpretată de Orchestra Națională Radio, avându-l la pupitru pe dirijorul 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐀𝐱𝐞𝐥𝐫𝐨𝐝.

Din culise: John Axelrod va dirija Simfonia nr. 9 de Mahler, cu bagheta pe care celebrul Leonard Bernstein i-a dăruit-o! 🙏

✨ Dirijorul a avut privilegiul să studieze toate simfoniile de Mahler cu renumitul dirijor Leonard Bernstein. Iar studiul acestora a început chiar cu Simfonia nr. 9 de, așa cm Leonard Bernstein a propus.

The Vicente Chamber Orchestra is recruiting volunteer string musicians for the 2025–2026 and 2026-2027 Season!

This is your opportunity to perform alongside accomplished musicians from across the Los Angeles area, including professional players who regularly join us for every concert. Our soloists have included some of the nation's finest musicians — concertmasters of top American orchestras and internationally renowned performers.

The Vicente Chamber Orchestra performs at two of LA's premier venues: Bel Air Church and the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

Our next concert is Sunday, April 26, featuring an all-Mozart program. Soloist to be announced!
