A simple donation can make a lasting difference for Santa Fe ISD students. Tribe's Closet provides essential clothing, shoes, personal care items, and special occasion attire to help students feel confident and ready to learn. We're currently accepting new or gently used clothing (sizes 2T–Adult), shoes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, 3-in-1 body wash, NEW socks, underwear, sports bras, and prom/formal attire.

🍪🧁 From the Classroom to the Community! 🧁🍪

When Ms. Lauren Juarez and Ms. Tanya Lanmon envisioned giving Culinary Arts students access to professional-grade equipment, they knew it would elevate learning. Thanks to an Illumination Award, that vision is now a reality—and the results have exceeded expectations!

The commercial-grade mixer funded through their project is now serving approximately 200 students each year, providing hands-on experience with the same equipment used in bakeries, restaurants, and foodservice operations across the country.

But the impact doesn't stop there.

Since receiving the mixer, students have successfully completed five large catering and community orders, gaining real-world experience while building workforce skills like teamwork, communication, time management, and problem-solving. Students are producing more efficiently, learning industry standards, and developing the confidence to take on larger projects than ever before.

One of the biggest lessons? Discovering firsthand how professional-grade equipment transforms productivity and quality—just like they will experience in future culinary careers.

We surprised Keegan with his official Kick 4 Cash backpack, football, and tee so he has plenty of time to practice before he takes the field! 🏈🎒

💚 UNITED IN MISSION. READY FOR THE YEAR AHEAD. 💛

On August 24, the Santa Fe Texas Education Foundation held our Annual Board Meeting, officially kicking off the 2026–27 school year with a shared commitment to our mission: supporting SFISD students and staff through community partnerships for lasting success.

We were excited to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors:
💚 David Bethea
💛 Kristi Click
💚 Dana Turner

We also welcomed John Couch, who will serve as our SFISD Board of Trustees Representative for 2026–27!

A special moment of the evening came as our entire Board completed their Oath of Office, reaffirming their commitment to serve with integrity, purpose, and the best interests of our students, staff, and community at heart.

A huge thank you to Mayor Brandon Noto for joining us and doing the honor of swearing in our Board! 👏

We are starting this year strong, united, and in solidarity with our mission—and we are incredibly grateful for the dedicated community leaders who volunteer their time, talents, and expertise to move the Foundation forward.
