🏨💙 A Safe Place, Even for a Short Stay 💙🏨

At Family Promise SCV, we know that sometimes families don’t need long-term shelter—they just need a safe place to land while they work through a crisis.

Through our Diversion Program, we provide emergency hotel stays for families who need immediate shelter and support. We also offer an onsite emergency studio for short stays, giving families another safe option during times of urgent need.

In just the last few months, we have provided over 50 nights of emergency shelter and hotel stays, offering families peace, safety, and hope during some of their hardest moments.

Family Promise is more than a shelter—we are a program designed to help families get back on their feet.

💙 This critical support is made possible through funding from our community partners and donors. Because of them, families have a place to rest tonight and hope for tomorrow.

DID YOU KNOW:
• In Los Angeles County, over 57% of renters are cost-burdened, spending more than 30% of their income on housing.
• A family would need to earn over $45 per hour to afford a modest 2-bedroom apartment in many parts of Southern California.
• Nearly 1 in 4 households in California live paycheck to paycheck.
• Family homelessness continues to rise as housing costs outpace wages.
For many families, it only takes one unexpected crisis—a car repair, medical bill, or reduced work hours—to lose their housing.
At Family Promise SCV, we provide more than shelter. We offer housing support, rental assistance, case management, and classes to help families regain stability.

Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley was honored to attend the SCV Chamber of Commerce mixer at The Paseo Club. We are grateful for opportunities like these to build relationships, strengthen our collective efforts to serve local families, and connect with fellow community leaders. It was especially meaningful for our Executive Director, Carmen Garcia, to have the opportunity to connect with Pro Tem Mayor Patsy Ayala and discuss the importance of supporting families throughout our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success!
