THE WEATHER WAS NO MATCH FOR THE AMAZING VOLUNTEERS WHO WORKED IN THE RAIN TO COLLECT DONATIONS, AND PACK 440 BAGS OF FOOD TO FEED THEIR COMMUNITY.

Thank you to the SCV Food Pantry, and the students and leadership of William S. Hart Union High School District, for all their hard work during today’s Pop Up Food Drive to help students and their families, struggling with food insecurity. I also want to express my heartfelt appreciation for all of you who generously donated food, monetary gifts, and grocery bags, to support your fellow neighbors.

These days remind us all how important community is, and how we can all “be the change we wish to see in the world.”

WE’RE PACKED WITH DONATIONS FOR TOMORROWS POP UP FOOD DRIVE, SUPPORTING STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES!!!!!

Thank you to everyone who has donated to help our Hart District students and families struggling with food insecurity. We’ll be delivering your donations during tomorow’s food drive at Placerita Junior High School between 7am and 11am.

If you would still like to donate, you can either drop off your items at 25015 North Newhall Avenue, or message me for pick up any time between 8am and 12pm.

Thank you again for all that you do, to make this world a little better for our neighbors in need. ❤️

After a longer than anticipated medical recuperation, it’s wonderful to be back in support of our community.

And what better way to start, than with a good old fashion bake sale. Homemade organic fruit jams, delicious savory croutons, and yummy by the dozen cookies. All flavors are listed on our menu photo, and we’ll be adding new items each week.

Even better, all proceeds will be used to help community members who are struggling with food insecurity and housing. Each item is only $8, and we’re happy to deliver locally for just $2 more per order.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and working together to help our neighbors in need. ❤️

If you have an opportunity to help, please donate to the Food and Personal Care Drive this Sunday, October 30th from 11am to 2pm at Central Park.

Rebecca Sewall Hindman is hosting the event to benefit our local school resource centers. We are so appreciative of Rebecca, for her continuous support of SCV Neighbors in Need’s events through donations and volunteering, and her efforts to help those in need in our community.

All donated items will go to the resource centers at Sulphur Springs School District, Sierra Vista Junior High, PAWS Center at Golden Valley High School, and The Cowboy Center at Canyon High School.

If you have any items that you would like to donate, but are unable to deliver them to the drive, please let us know and we’ll be happy to pick them up.

We’re off to spend time with family, but I had to send out a very special thank you to Patty Norona. We received a last minute request to help one of our local nurse’s, and her three children, and Patty and her wonderful family generously contributed for toys, art supplies, clothes and gift cards.
Incredibly humbled by all that she and the amazing team at Norona Insurance Agency continue to do for our community. ❤️

As the holidays approach for many of us, we wanted to thank you, for all that you have done to make our community a kinder and more compassionate place for those in need. We have been fortunate to see the personal impact you have had in schools, shelters, small businesses and individual homes, and your generosity has changed the lives of those struggling to stay warm, to feed their children, to keep their doors open, and to provide a joyful holiday for their families.

The world truly is a better place, because each of you is in it. ❤️
