Who are the Santa Clarita Valley’s largest employers, and what can this year’s numbers tell us about the local economy?

SCVEDC’s 2026 Largest Employers survey represents more than 32,000 local employees, with reported employment across the group increasing approximately 3% from the comparable 2025 total.

The numbers also show growth spread across a wide range of industries.

🏥 Healthcare continues to be a major source of job creation.
✈️ Aeros**ce and advanced-manufacturing employers reported notable gains.
📦 Transportation and warehousing employment remains at record levels.
🏫 Public employers continue to provide a significant employment base throughout the Valley.

Among private employers, 26 of the 50 companies surveyed increased their headcount, with gains reported by companies including Fralock, ASC Process Systems, DrinkPAK and a number of local aeros**ce manufacturers.

That breadth matters. A diverse economy creates more pathways for businesses, workers and investment, and helps position the SCV to adapt as individual industries and employers change over time.

A Santa Clarita Valley investment is making national news. ☀️

PEOPLE has highlighted Six Flags Magic Mountain’s newly energized solar carport, bringing national attention to the largest solar carport installation in California and one of the largest single-site commercial solar carport projects in the country.

The 12.37-megawatt project features 22,908 solar panels across approximately 637,000 square feet and is designed to offset 100% of the annual electricity consumption of Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles.

Behind a project of this scale is years of collaboration. SCVEDC was proud to support the effort by connecting the project team with public-sector resources and helping facilitate coordination with GO-Biz, Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s office, Southern California Edison and other partners, including through the LA County Connect program.

It’s exciting to see an investment here in the Santa Clarita Valley earning national attention, and even more rewarding to see years of collaboration result in something our community can see every day.

Manufacturing today is about far more than what happens on a production floor. It’s robotics, automation, precision, problem-solving and careers that are shaping what comes next.

In celebration of National Manufacturing Day, College of the Canyons and the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) will give students from the William S. Hart Union High School District a closer look at the technology, skills, and career opportunities behind modern manufacturing.

On October 9, students will have the opportunity to explore what manufacturing looks like today, and see where these careers can lead. Here is a link to find out more - https://bit.ly/3TDaiLf

For us, this is workforce development in action: connecting local employers, educators, and students so the next generation can see the opportunities being built right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Made in SCV. Powered by the people who call it home.

Last Friday, our business community came together at College of the Canyons for the 2026 Economic Outlook, a morning of conversation, perspective, and connection centered on the Santa Clarita Valley’s economy and its future.

This year’s Made in SCV theme put a spotlight on the businesses and people whose work reaches far beyond our valley. From aeros**ce and entertainment to the s**ces where companies build and grow, the discussion highlighted the range of industries that call the SCV home and the decisions shaping what comes next.

Thank you to panelists Craig Peters of CBRE, Nick Salgado of Cicoil, Michele Starrs of TA Aeros**ce, and Brian Oerding of Six Flags Magic Mountain, along with moderator Neal Weichel, for providing such an insightful panel. We’re also grateful to Dr. Mark Schniepp for helping attendees make sense of the economic trends influencing our region and the road ahead.

Made in SCV was represented throughout the morning, including breakfast provided by local businesses and stories that offered a closer look at the work happening right here in our community.

To our sponsors, partners, speakers, and everyone who joined us, thank you for making this year’s event possible. We hope you left with useful insights, new connections, and a deeper appreciation for the businesses and people helping shape our local economy.

At SCVEDC, we’re proud to support that work throughout the year by connecting businesses with resources, helping them navigate challenges, and supporting opportunities for growth.

Thank you for being part of the conversation and part of what’s made in SCV.

Some of the businesses shaping the Santa Clarita Valley might be more familiar than you think.

The places where memories are made. The companies building components used in aeros**ce and robotics. The businesses creating the products, technology and s**ces we interact with every day.

At this year’s SCVEDC Economic Outlook, attendees can look forward to hearing directly from leaders across these industries and learning more about the people, ideas and businesses behind the SCV economy.

It’s more than a look at the numbers. It’s a chance to understand what’s happening across our business community and what it could mean for the future of the Santa Clarita Valley.

“Made in SCV” is more than a label.

It’s a reflection of the people who build here, lead here, create here, educate here—and choose to invest in the Santa Clarita Valley for the long term.

We asked six business and community leaders what “Made in SCV” means to them. Their perspectives are different, but together they tell an important story: a strong regional economy is built through connection.

Between businesses and educators. Between the private and public sectors. Between the City of Santa Clarita Government, County of Los Angeles and community partners. And between the opportunities we create today and the future we’re working toward together.

On September 25, that story continues at SCVEDC’s 2026 Economic Outlook.
We’ll take a closer look at the economic forces shaping the SCV, what they mean for local businesses and where opportunities may be emerging next.

Watch the video, then join us for the conversation about what comes next for the Santa Clarita Valley.
