To provide support, programs and leadership for the promotion and welfare of K-12 public school education.

SCV Education Foundation works with all 5 school districts in the Santa Clarita Valley. Our events and programs -
Teacher Tribute - Recognizing excellence in education is the focus of Teacher Tribute, which honors teachers from the Santa Clarita Valley’s five schools districts. Santa Clarita’s Literacy & Arts Festival - In partnership with the City of Santa Clarita this day is filled with entertainment, education and activities to encourage, promote and expose the importance of literacy and the performing arts to people of all ages. Principal for a Day – Businesses, community leaders and individuals who participate in this event find out firsthand what it is like to run a public school by being paired with school administrators and becoming “Principal For a Day.” Participants experience the multiple roles school managers’ play, creating an understanding of the challenges and achievements of our schools. Student Enrichment Awards for Teachers – The only program of its kind in the Santa Clarita Valley, each year the SCV Education Foundation awards thousands of dollars in materials to local public schools and teachers, paving the way for new programs and adding support for existing programs in science, technology, literature, art, music and other areas enhancing the educational experience for students and teachers. Scholarships – This program awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who aspire to take a role in the educational field. READ WITH ME! – Placing volunteers in the classroom, this program is designed to improve students’ reading and comprehension skills. Currently in 72 classrooms, our volunteers work either one-on-one or in small groups with students for the duration of the school year. Our newest addition, Bag of Books encourages family reading and improves reading skills. With Bag of Books, students have an opportunity to take ownership of a different set of books each week to read at home.

That’s a wrap on our 2026 Page Turners program. With the help of Santa Clarita Elks Lodge 2379, we were able to giveaway 2 new books to 350 students at three Jr High Schools in SCV. We hope this inspires these students to start a home library and a life long love for reading.
