As SCV Restaurant Week draws to a close, we'd like to thank you for supporting our local restaurants while contributing to hometown charity feedSCV. feedSCV's mission is to ensure that every family in Santa Clarita has access to a healthy meal, each and every day. Their premier program provides food to ~200 local housing insecure school children who might otherwise spend a weekend without a meal. You can learn more about feedSCV at https://www.scvrestaurantweek.com/about-us/. Please consider donating directly to their cause at https://www.feedscv.org/donations/ - every dollar helps!

A HUGE thank you to the Santa Clarita Valley Democrats who held a food drive today on behalf of feedSCV, Inc., a 501c3 charity, and our “Ready To Learn Backpack Program.”

During the school year, we provide 200 backpacks to kids at 8 elementary schools in the SCV who’ve been designated as housing insecure. The backpacks contain single serving, easy to prepare, and shelf-stable food. Enough for 6 weekend meals plus a few snacks.

That’s 1,200 meals EVERY week!
