Siestas For Fiestas

Our goal is to end the cycle of poverty in Cancun, Mexico. We support their projects to build homes, feed families and provide an education.

We work closely with Pastors and Missionaries who have dedicated their lives to serving those in need. We are Chris and Jesenia, a husband and wife from Los Angeles who took an unexpected and serendipitous journey when we relocated to Cancun, Mexico. Upon our arrival, we were blessed to meet Pastor Arturo and his congregation at Fe Amor y Esperanza. He shared with us an especially personal and hea

rtfelt mission; the church’s ongoing Christmas project to feed families living in poverty. We were inspired by his heart for this project and began brainstorming ideas on how we could help. We came up with the idea of creating festive beach blankets using the region’s soft and charming textiles. Behind the beauty and purpose of these delightful blankets is an even more gracious cause inspired by kindheartedness embodied by Fe Amor y Esperanza. For every blanket that's purchased, a portion of the proceeds will allow an entire family in need from the region to celebrate Christmas with a warm holiday meal!

Mama Fiesta helps provide an education for kids like Libni. We’d love for you to learn more about her story below.

How did you come to Kingdom Academy?
My name is Libni Areli, I am 18 years old, before entering Kingdom Academy, I studied at a public Elementary School. During the pandemic, I came to Kingdom Academy to keep my education and will be graduating High School this year.

How do you feel about the help people have given you to study and what are your goals for the future?
I feel very good and blessed for the education provided by the sponsors and donors. One of my main goals is to attend college and continue my education. I would also like to attend the YWAM DTS program after graduation.

How has Kingdom Academy helped you?
More than anything, I have improved the most knowing who I am and how I carry my relationship with God. Kingdom Academy has helped me be persevering, kind person, who cares about others. I still need to improve and continue to grow and with the encouragement from the teachers I feel there is hope and a good future ahead.
