Happy Friday CAMFT community! Today we are giving the spotlight to another wonderful therapist.

Allie Michie is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, and teens navigating grief and life transitions. She understands that grief rarely unfolds the way people expect, and that seasons of change can leave even a strong sense of self feeling unfamiliar.

Her approach is grounded in the belief that healing is not about leaving grief behind, but about creating a life spacious enough to hold both loss and growth. Rooted in Ventura, Allie sees clients in Santa Barbara through The Center for Psychotherapy and Integrative Health, as well as virtually throughout California. Fun fact: Allie is also supervised by one of our past presidents, Claire Blakey❤️ Allie Michie, MS, Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

We’re excited to highlight another incredible therapist in our community! ✨

Desiré Rodriguez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #163285) launching her private practice, Therapy by Desire, this month in Santa Barbara. She earned her MS in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University and is EMDR certified. Desiré provides therapy in English and Spanish, offering both in-person and telehealth sessions across California. Her practice serves people who’ve never quite felt like they belonged — individuals working through identity and personal history, couples and families, and professionals navigating corporate or tech burnout. Sessions take place Tuesday through Thursday, and her mini goldendoodle, Benjamin, occasionally joins in-person appointments. Before therapy, Desiré spent years in marketing at Meta, and she still consults with small businesses on brand strategy. Welcome her to the community! ❤️

We’re highlighting another wonderful therapist in our community!

Jenny Ziesenhenne is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who became licensed at the beginning of June. She graduated from Antioch University in 2020, where she completed the somatic concentration. Jenny provides nature-based therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults through both individual and group sessions. While she also offers in-office appointments, most of her work takes place in beautiful outdoor settings throughout Santa Barbara County. You may already recognize Jenny from one of the nature hikes she’s led for our CAMFT community. We’re so excited to spotlight her and celebrate this exciting milestone! ;)

✨Therapist spotlight ✨

We’re highlighting another incredible therapist and her practice!

Meet Jessica! Jessica believes that collaboration is at the heart of meaningful therapy. She recognizes that every individual is unique and tailors her therapeutic approach to meet each client’s specific needs and goals.

She works with individuals who have experienced trauma, helping them regain confidence and lessen the hold those experiences may have on their lives. Jessica has a passion for supporting first responders, individuals navigating pregnancy and the postpartum journey, and survivors of intimate partner violence.

Jessica strives to create a space filled with compassion, understanding, and non-judgment—where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journey. Send her a DM to say hello!
