This cutie girl is Pixie. She was found with her sisters abandoned in a plastic crate in Orange County but thanks to some good samaritans, all of her sisters except Pixie (and she sister Punkin who is also available for adoption) found homes.

Thanks to an amazing foster home, Pixie is having a blast and thriving with her foster dog siblings! Pixie is the leader of her pack, full of s***k and playfulness! She would do great with another dog to play with in her new home.

Pixie is approx 4-5 months old and 6lbs.

Meet Coconut, an approx 3 year old, 16lb poodle mix who is looking for a family to help him come out of his shell. Coconut and his brother Snickerdoodle (who was just recently adopted) were surrendered after living in deplorable conditions, and he’s now ready for the loving home he deserves.

He’s bashful but oh-so-sweet, good with other dogs, and loves to cuddle. He’s still working on potty training but would make better progress in his forever home. We know with some patience, love, a little confidence-building, and another cuddly dog sibling, we know this boy will blossom.

We literally feel so blessed to have been part of this Pet Blessing event. From lively nose-boops and holy water sprinkles on our playful pups to quiet, sweet moments honoring the beloved pets who are no longer with us, this day captured all the love our furry family members bring to our lives. 🌈🤍

The name is Punkin, not Pumpkin because she’s cute as a Punkin and was the runt of her sisters! 😉
Punkin and her 3 sisters had a rough start when they were left behind in a plastic milk crate when a Good Samaritan found them at just 8 weeks old. They were hungry, tired, and covered in fleas, but their story took a wonderful turn the moment they stepped into our rescue.

Thanks to an amazing foster home, these adorable Chihuahua mix girls are thriving! Punkin is the runt of the litter but growing everyday - she is so sweet and just loves her humans! She is ready to find her loving forever home! She is the most cuddly puppy and loves frolicking around and snuggling up to her favorite doggie siblings. Punkin is approx 4-5 mos old and around 6lbs.

The Blessing of the Animals takes place on October 4th in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. St. Francis was famous for treating all creatures—birds, beasts, and reptiles alike—as brothers and sisters, and blessed them for health, protection, and companionship.

So this Sunday, October 4, from 12:00 PM – 4:00, Mutts in Need will be at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary (902 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton) for our Pet Blessing & Adoption Event!

Here is what’s in store:
✨ Pet Blessings: Whether you bring your live pets of any species, a favorite photo of a pet who couldn’t attend (or who has passed), or a loved plushie/stuffed animal, Rev. Phil McGovern will be offering blessings in honor of Blessing of the Animals Day!
🐶Meet Adoptable Dogs: Looking to expand your family? Mutts in Need will be on-site with wonderful rescue dogs ready to find their forever homes!
🎨 Shop Local Vendors:Explore local pet resources, vendor booths, and even get a custom portrait painted of your pet!

Happy National Black Dog Day!

Simon is a large boy with a heart of gold who proves that the best things in life come in extra-large packages. At 6 years old, Simon is the definition of a loyal companion, devoted entirely to his humans while remaining a complete gentleman in the real world. He is a social butterfly who handles new environments with ease and is always on his best behavior in public, greeting strangers with a calm demeanor that makes him a hit wherever he goes. Extremely treat-motivated and eager to please, Simon is always looking for ways to be the “best boy.” While his list of loves is long, there is one notable exception: cats. ‼️‼️Ducky is looking for a foster or forever home‼️‼️

Ducky came in with his siblings (Mickey and Goofy) and mother, Zara (all whom are available for adoption) after being rescued from an abandoned property in Phelan, CA.

He’s come a long way since being in his foster home and is the most bashful of his brothers. While his foster mom would love to keep him forever, she’s being asked to foster someone else who needs more help than him therefore leaving Ducky to find a new foster or forever home now.

Ducky is approx 3.5-4 mos old and around 25lbs. He’s cat-friendly and dog-friendly and absolutely the sweetest. He’s neutered and current on vaccines and ready for his forever home. We’re still figuring out if that other ear will ever stand but in the meantime, we encourage anyone with another outgoing dog who would be an amazing sibling, finds this post of Ducky and applies to foster or adopt.
