Did you know that on Saturday, June 6th, there is a lakefront market in Huron?

This family-friendly market is an outdoor event that provides artists, creators, food vendors, and other small businesses with an opportunity to showcase their talents, goods, and services. Each one of these businesses brings vibrancy and life to our community that you need to experience! The market isn't only family-friendly, it is dog-friendly too! No need to go alone, bring your family or a (furry) friend to support local small businesses! Find out more about the market on the Huron Lake Front Market page!

The Huron Lake Front Market is produced by GSP and supported by Shores & Islands Ohio.

Seasonal workers are a vital part of our local economy — and a great summer experience starts with feeling connected to the community you’re working in.

We’re hosting a free kick-off event on Thursday, May 28th to welcome seasonal employees to Sandusky. Come meet fellow workers, make local connections, and enjoy a night of free bowling and pizza. 🍕

📍 Thirsty Pony | 1935 Cleveland Rd W | 6–8 PM

If your business employs seasonal workers this summer, we encourage you to share this with your team. The more connected our workforce feels, the better our season is for everyone. ☀️ 🤝

Thank you to Public Art Vermilion and Main Street Vermilion for hosting “Out in the Open: A Conversation About Public Art” at Ritter Public Library.

We were glad to have our Sr. Director of Destination Management, McKenzie Spriggs, participate alongside fellow panelists and community advocates to discuss how thoughtful public spaces and creative placemaking can shape the identity and experience of a community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the conversation around the value of public art in our region. 🎨❤
