Our Kiwanis Club of Sandusky and the Lake Erie Aktion Club participated in the annual Trick or Treat at Cedar Point last night! Always a bootiful time handing out candy to the kiddos in their fun costumes!!!

Our Kiwanis Club of Sandusky volunteered today at the Sandusky Witches' Walk! We had the job of helping the Guiness Book of World Records keep track of the dancing witches. They set TWO world records today!!! 1. Most Dancing Witches. 2. Largest Witch Costume Contest. (I honestly don’t know the exact numbers yet.) Our club has the honor of being one of the beneficiaries of this spectacular event and we couldn’t be more grateful!!!

Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine announced our newest statewide initiative to sign up more children for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library immediately after birth!

Now, caregivers are asked if they would like to sign their newborn up for a free monthly book while completing their child’s birth certificate paperwork in the hospital. ✨

It’s simple– caregivers can check YES to sign their child up Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library’s free monthly book delivery. By signing up at birth, a child will receive the full collection of books the Imagination Library offers – 60 books in total before starting kindergarten!

Newborns have always been eligible to sign up, but through this new initiative, all newborns will have an opportunity to sign up before heading home from the hospital.

It’s never too early to introduce reading to a child! 🦋📙✨

This past weekend we picked up 16 bags of trash on Route 250 during our first of four highway cleanups for ODOT. Thank you to our volunteers for taking care of our community!

Our club had the pleasure of meeting David Kaman, the founder of the Downtown Sandusky Cedar Point Historical Museum, tonight and tour this amazing addition to Sandusky. Thank you to the Merry-Go-Round Museum for the complimentary ride! We had a great time and will share our experience with everyone we know!
