The TERI Campus of Life in San Marcos is a 20-acre community built around TERI’s mission to change the way the world sees, helps, and empowers individuals with special needs. The vision for the TERI (𝗧raining, 𝗘ducation, and 𝗥esource 𝗜nstitute) Campus of Life is founded on the belief that when given the opportunity, people discover each other’s humanity and happily live and learn side by side. To

advance this vision, our beautiful Campus is designed to bring together children and adults with disabilities, their families, and the community. As a true center of innovation and excellence, our Campus is dedicated to transforming lives through performing arts, fine arts, fitness, nutrition, organic agriculture, social gatherings and so much more. Add love, compassion, joy, and a staff of truly remarkable individuals and you have a recipe for miracles! From great coffee and food at TERI Common Grounds Café & Coffee Bar, to memorable weddings and celebrations with TERI Events, to inspiring performances at The Bornemann Theatre, the TERI Campus of Life offers experiences that bring people together while supporting TERI’s mission to change the way the world sees, helps, and empowers individuals with special needs.

Last month, Interact students gathered to assemble and donate Halloween costumes—an effort generously sponsored by ACE Tutoring. Their creativity and teamwork brought so much joy to our students.

We’re thrilled to announce that TERI has been awarded a historic $3 million challenge grant from the Tom & Mary Tomlinson Foundation — accelerating the final phase of construction for the TERI Campus of Life.

We are deeply grateful to the Tomlinson Foundation, one of our longest-standing partners and the single largest donor in our history. Their extraordinary belief in our vision—and shared urgency to unite all TERI students and staff on one intentionally designed campus—has been with us from the beginning.

Today, half of our 20-acre Campus of Life is built and thriving. This challenge propels us into the final phase to fund and complete:

✨ The Bornemann Child Development Center
✨ The Learning Academy
✨ Dr. Bronner’s Country Day School
✨ The Technology Center
✨ Fit for Life Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Complex

We're thrilled to share that the City of Escondido selected TERI's Choices for Adult Learning program as the official "Keepers of the Queen" at Queen Califia's Magical Circle at Kit Carson Park.

Each week, our groups help care for Niki de Saint Phalle's stunning mosaic sculptures—cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring this vibrant space remains accessible to all.

This partnership not only helps preserve a beloved work of art but also builds meaningful connections with our community as we work together to keep the artist's magical vision shining bright.
