Yesterday, Sarah Saunders-Harbaugh, RN, MSN, from the Barnhart Cancer Center at Sharp Chula Vista joined to talk about the importance of detecting breast cancer early, when it’s often easier to treat, and to recognize National Mammography Day, observed every third Friday in October.

Each October, Sharp Grossmont Hospital illuminates its West Tower with a giant pink ribbon in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to support all those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
