✨ A look back through the years of our Annual Gala as we get ready for another unforgettable evening.

Join us for the 36th Annual Business Awards & Scholarship Gala, one of ABA San Diego’s most anticipated events of the year. This special evening brings together business leaders, community partners, elected officials, and supporters to celebrate leadership, legacy, and the impact of our small business community.

And of course, it would not be an ABA Gala without a little bit of everything everywhere all at once, celebrating, connecting, dancing, singing, and creating memories together like we have in years past.

This year, we continue honoring the stories, partnerships, and people who help shape our region while supporting the next generation through the ABA Foundation scholarship program.

📅 Friday, October 10
📍 Sycuan Casino Resort

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of celebration, connection, and community.

Was a great day on the court with our ABA community🎾

We were proud to celebrate ABA San Diego Day at the Tennis Warehouse Open, part of the ATP Challenger Tour, bringing our community together for an afternoon of professional tennis at Barnes Tennis Center.

A special highlight was seeing our Chairwoman, Jeni Burgess, take the stadium court to accept a recognition honoring ABA’s support of San Diego’s business community.

A big thank you to Ryan Redondo and Jesse Steinberg for being such wonderful community partners and for always welcoming ABA to Barnes. We’re grateful for the relationship we continue to build with Barnes and Youth Tennis San Diego.

Thank you as well to AAPITA and everyone who joined us for the day.

🥟 September Feature Friday: Network, Learn & Support Local Small Business
Presented by Southwest Airlines

Join us on September 25 for a special Feature Friday spotlighting Dumpling Inn, a beloved Convoy District restaurant rooted in food, family, hard work, and community.

Born from the Chinese and Vietnamese immigrant experience, Dumpling Inn’s story is more than a restaurant story. It is a story of resilience, tradition, sacrifice, and the belief that food has the power to bring people together.

Established in 1994 as a small six-table restaurant, Dumpling Inn became known for its family recipes, handmade comfort food, and loyal following in San Diego. Over the years, it has grown into a local institution while staying true to the dishes and traditions that made generations of San Diegans fall in love with it.

Today, Dumpling Inn continues its legacy at 4625 Convoy Street, a historic space once home to Woo Chee Chong, remembered as the first Chinese grocery store in the Convoy area. This building holds a special place in San Diego’s Asian American story and in the history of the Convoy District.

For the family behind Dumpling Inn, carrying the restaurant forward means honoring the generations before them, preserving family recipes, and continuing to create a neighborhood restaurant where people gather for first dates, family dinners, graduations, reunions, and everyday meals.

This Feature Friday is an opportunity to connect with fellow business owners, hear the story behind a local small business, and support a restaurant that continues to celebrate culture, community, and legacy.

Come network, learn, and celebrate the businesses that make Convoy District so special.
