Join us for a special Feature Friday spotlighting a Filipino and woman-owned bakery rooted in creativity, culture, and community.

Born and raised in San Diego, this entrepreneur’s journey began with a passion for home baking and quickly grew into something much bigger after a custom birthday cake, now known as her signature puff pastry monogram, went viral on social media.

What started in a home kitchen soon became a growing business, with customers lining up down the driveway to support her one-of-a-kind pastries and desserts.

As a self-made entrepreneur, she built her business from the ground up without generational wealth or industry connections, relying on perseverance, creativity, and the support of her community. Her bakery is deeply connected to her journey of reconnecting with her Filipino heritage and celebrating AAPI flavors through pastry.

Each menu item reflects a beautiful balance of innovation, nostalgia, and cultural storytelling, creating desserts that are not only delicious, but meaningful.

Last Friday we had a beautiful morning of connection, encouragement, and momentum. ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Mompreneur Momentum Workshop at the Asian Business Association of San Diego. This gathering brought together moms, entrepreneurs, and community members for meaningful conversations around business, balance, growth, and the unique journey of building something while caring for others.

We’re grateful for the women who showed up, shared their stories, asked thoughtful questions, and reminded us why spaces like this matter. When mompreneurs come together, it creates room for support, collaboration, and the kind of encouragement that helps turn ideas into action.

Big congratulations to Thaiyo! 🎉

Thaiyo was selected as the only business in San Diego County for the Workday Solopreneur AI Pilot Program, and one of only 15 businesses selected nationwide. This is a major achievement that highlights what is possible when small businesses have access to the right tools, resources, and support.

As a microbusiness, Thaiyo’s journey is a powerful example of how entrepreneurs can continue to grow, scale, and strengthen their operations by leaning on the business community and learning how to leverage AI and innovation in meaningful ways.

We’re so proud of their growth and excited to be alongside them during this program as they continue building their business and expanding their impact.
