We provide free, emergency clothing to individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardship or crisis.

Our mission is to provide free emergency clothing to people that have an immediate need for clothing. Our vision is to empower people with clothes to promote self-esteem and self-identity in our community. Our Values: Dignity, Respect, Personalization, and Quality.

A heartfelt thank you to MADCAPS (Mothers and Daughters Club Assisting Philanthropies) for donating three hand-painted bookcases, brand-new children's books for ages 4-12, personal hygiene bags, perfume, and loads of clothes! 📚

We're so grateful for the dedication, talent, and creativity of the MADCAPS Class of 2027, led by moms Amy, Bridget, and Lezlie, MADCAPS President, with Courtney Burnett, Philanthropy Co-Chair, representing the group.

Your thoughtful gifts will help create welcoming spaces where children can read, learn, and explore, and will support SDFJC and Sharia's Closet clients with items needed in emergencies. We appreciate you!

Thrilled to share that the San Diego Family Justice Center, the first in the nation (opened 2002), has moved from downtown to a new home at Sky Park in Kearny Mesa, doubling its space to support survivors and their families. Sharia's Closet is taking shape inside the new Center!

Since 2019, our partnership has connected clients with personalized clothing and essentials, with dignity and comfort at the heart of it.

Thank you, Renata and Shane, for joining us at the grand opening. Having you there meant the world to me. ❤️

A New Chapter of Community, Compassion & Partnership!

On October 29, we celebrated the grand opening of Sharia’s Closet at Your Safe Place – The Family Justice Center!

This special occasion brought together community partners who share a common mission: supporting families in need through compassion, collaboration, and meaningful resources.

Throughout the celebration, guests enjoyed guided tours, connected with fellow community partners, and explored how working together can make a lasting difference in the lives of the families we serve.

✨ Together, we are building stronger connections, creating opportunities, and making our community a place where families feel supported, valued, and empowered.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this exciting milestone! 💜
