🍳 Breakfast for Lunch? Yes, Please! 🥞

We had a great breakfast day at Daily Bread!

Our kitchen was busy serving up a delicious breakfast spread with sausage and egg casserole, crispy potatoes, biscuits, and waffles!

A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers who helped get everything prepared, packed, and ready to serve. ❤️

There's nothing quite like a good, hearty breakfast, no matter what time of day it is!

Good food, great volunteers, and a whole lot of love! That's what Daily Bread is all about. 💛

❤️ WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
You do not have to be part of a group to volunteer with Daily Bread!
We’re looking for individuals, friends, families, coworkers, church groups — anyone willing to lend a hand as we prepare and serve meals to our community.
Our current volunteer needs are:
📅 3rd Tuesday of each month
📅 3rd Friday of each month
📅 4th Wednesday of each month
📅 4th Friday of each month
⏰ Volunteer shift: 8:30 AM – 1:10 PM
Even if you can commit to just one day each month, that consistency makes a huge difference. You don’t need to put together a whole group — individual volunteers are absolutely welcome! ❤️

Another great group of volunteers in action! ❤️
There’s a lot that happens between an empty container and a finished lunch, and we couldn’t do it without the people who show up and make it happen.
From prepping and serving to packing meals and everything in between, we are so thankful for the volunteers who gave their time to Daily Bread this week.
Thank you for showing up, jumping in, and helping us feed our community! 🥰

This is what community support looks like. ❤️
Thanks to several recent donations, our fridge is FULL! Every loaf of bread, bag of produce and donated item helps us continue serving hot lunches to our neighbors in San Angelo.
To everyone who has donated, shared our posts, purchased from our wish list or helped connect us with resources — thank you. We are incredibly grateful for the support our community continues to show Daily Bread.
And yes… we’re very happy to have the problem of figuring out where to put it all. 😂❤️

This is what serving our community looks like. ❤️
Behind every meal that leaves Daily Bread, there are volunteers chopping, cooking, plating, bagging and doing whatever needs to be done to make sure our neighbors have a good meal.
And somehow, there’s usually plenty of laughing happening along the way. 😊
We are incredibly thankful for the people who continue to show up and give their time to Daily Bread. You are the reason we’re able to do what we do.
Good food. Good people. A whole lot of heart. ❤️

Thank you to our new Executive Director Jamie, and her new homemade Country Breakfast Casserole, with egg, two types of sausage, brisket, and cheese. We will be serving this with biscuits, hashbrowns, and waffles this Friday. Come on out to see us.

Apparently, this is what happens when we don’t have enough Saturday volunteers… 😂
We start putting traffic cones on our heads and fighting over who has to put them away. 🤣
All jokes aside, Daily Bread will be CLOSED this Saturday because we do not have a volunteer group scheduled.
We’ll be back Monday, ready to serve — and hopefully all the traffic cones will be where they belong by then. 😂🧡
