Have you ever wondered what the Rainbow Room is? 🌈

It's a 24/7 emergency resource room dedicated to supporting children who are in CPS care or foster care throughout our community. From basic necessities to comfort items, we work to make sure children experiencing difficult and uncertain circumstances have access to the things they need when they need them.

The Rainbow Room is proudly 100% community funded. Through the incredible generosity and support of the San Angelo community, we are able to provide resources and support to more than 1,000 children each year.

🌈 Behind every item in the Rainbow Room is a child who needs it.

A new pair of shoes.
A package of diapers.
A change of clothes.
A hygiene kit.
A comfort item.

They may seem like small things, but when a child is going through a difficult time, having what they need can make a big difference.

That's why the Rainbow Room exists — to help caseworkers meet those immediate needs and help children feel a little more cared for during a difficult transition. 💙

✨ BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: BRIANNA AGUILAR! ✨

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who gives so much of her time, creativity, and heart to the Rainbow Room, our amazing Marketing Chair, Brianna Aguilar!

For more than three years, Brianna has poured her time and creativity into helping the Rainbow Room connect with our community. Whether she’s behind the camera capturing special moments, creating engaging captions, designing graphics, or keeping our social media page updated — she plays an important role in helping share our mission and the impact of the Rainbow Room.

Her favorite part of serving on the board says it all:

“I love being involved with the Rainbow Room and participating in different community events because I am passionate about our mission in helping the CPS and Foster Kids in our community and spreading awareness.”

✨ Rainbow Room Board Member Spotlight: Meghan Kauten! ✨

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who has dedicated an incredible 10 years on the board.

As Treasurer, Meghan plays an important role in helping keep the Rainbow Room running behind the scenes. She helps oversee our finances, manages the bank account, provides monthly financial reports, and helps coordinate purchases for the items and supplies needed in the Rainbow Room.

What makes her service especially meaningful is the heart she brings to it. ❤️ Meghan says her favorite part of serving on the board is seeing and hearing about the children we help and witnessing our community come together. There is something truly special about seeing people unite to make a difference in the lives of children.
