πŸ’œ What Can You Do If You Recognize Signs of Domestic Violence? πŸ’œ
Domestic violence can happen to anyone, and sometimes the people who need support most are the ones who feel the most alone.
If you notice signs of abuse, your response can make a difference.
πŸ‘€ If it's a stranger:
β€’ Check in privately if it's safe to do so.
β€’ Offer information about local resources(The.Family Shelter).
β€’ Listen without judgment.
β€’ If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
🏠 If it's a friend or family member:
β€’ Let them know you believe them.
β€’ Avoid criticizing or blaming them.
β€’ Ask how you can support them.
β€’ Respect their decisions and timeline.
β€’ Encourage them to connect with professional resources(The Family Shelter).
β€’ Continue checking inβ€”even if they aren't ready to talk.
πŸ’œ Remember: You don't have to have all the answers. Sometimes simply showing compassion and support can help someone take their first step toward safety.
The Family Shelter provides confidential services for residents and non-residents 24 hours a day.

πŸ’œ THANK YOU! πŸ’œ
From the largest monetary donation to the smallest act of kindness, your support means more than words can express.
Whether you've donated funds, food, bottled water, cleaning supplies, paper goods, toiletries, gifts for our residents and non-residents, or simply helped spread awareness of our mission, please know that it does not go unnoticed.
Over the past year, organizations like ours have faced significant funding challenges. Yet because of your generosity, compassion, and commitment to helping others, we have been able to continue providing safety, support, and hope to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.
Every donation matters. Every gift makes a difference. Every act of kindness helps us continue our mission of breaking the cycle of domestic violence.
We truly cannot do this without your CONTINUED support.
THANK YOU for standing with us.
THANK YOU for believing in our mission.
THANK YOU for helping us serve our community.
Together, we are making a difference.
