In The Spirit of Christmas "Light Up a Child's Life' How is the process determined? Who is involved in making this happen? Volunteers assist in
making this process possible. Outcome?

Mission of โ€œ In The Spirit Of
Christmasโ€
The mission of this program has
been to provide a great experience to children whose family may be less fortunate
during the holiday season. Referrals by social service advocates of
San Angelo Independent School district and personal reference do all the
screening for eligible candidates. We have had positive response from our media, former city officials,

volunteers,
business and other stakeholders in our endeavors as we seek out quality toys accompanied by a meal provided free to the entire family. Our anticipated event has proven to be fruitful and rewarding. We will always strive to make the time with these families of the utmost quality, fun and memorable. As you know it takes a village to raise one child.

Having kids Liamโ€™s age, my heart actually hurts and breaks.

Theyโ€™re so innocent at this age. They literally just care about coloring, cartoons, or little things like snacks and being outside.

They learn to cherish the most simple things, such as a favorite hat, a rock, a toy, or a backpack.

Letโ€™s pray for all the kids going through the unimaginable right now.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Our shelter will be open during the day as a warming station all week long. Anyone needing a warm place to stay is welcome.

A father from New Mexico is willing to drive anywhere he needs to so his 5 year autistic son can be taken care of. He cleans carpets tile grout and upholstery and does the work with pride. Every single job helps provide for therapy food and stability for his little boy who cannot speak for himself.

He is not asking for handouts. Just a chance to work and keep his sonโ€™s future moving forward.

Mission Accomplished Over 250+ Wrapped Gifts distributed ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

The 22nd Annual In The Spirit of Christmas โ€“ โ€œLight Up A Childโ€™s Lifeโ€ Program was a tremendous success. I am truly thankful for everyone who came out to help celebrate 22 years of service to the San Angelo community.

First and foremost, I give thanks to The Man Upstairs ๐Ÿ‘‘. Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and supportersโ€”this year was a true challenge for me personally, but it was all worth it.

Seeing so many cheerful kids, grateful parents, amazing gifts, door prizes, and great food made every moment meaningful. A special thank you to San Angeloโ€™s very own The Lonely Boys for making the night even more special.
