First Tee - Utah The mission of First Tee – Utah is to teach young people life skills and core values through golf.

We provide educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. At First Tee – Utah, we believe that the game of golf provides a platform to encourage core values and healthy choices. Our programs helps young people develop character by focusing on Nine Core Values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, re

sponsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgement. The First Tee programs include:

The Life Skills Experience - is our green grass program that consists of five progressive class levels of golf and life skills. This program is formulated with the help of experts in the fields of positive youth development, sports psychology, education and golf, and is backed by extensive independent research. The Life Skills Experience helps young people develop character by focusing on Nine Core Values. The In School Program - introduces the game of golf and First Tee's Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits to elementary students during physical education classes. First Tee – Utah is currently implementing the In School Program in many elementary schools across the state, including both Granite and Tooele school districts. The Youth Centers Program - is a set of 18 golf Activity Plans designed to provide a fun, engaging program that exposes young people to the behaviors associated with the First Tee's Nine Core Values. This activity-based program is specifically designed for after school programs and other youth serving organizations, such as Boys and Girls Clubs and YMCAs.
