This year, the Utah Afterschool Network helped secure $2.9 million in new state funding for afterschool programs—opening the door for more kids to access safe, enriching spaces beyond the school day. When critical federal funding for 21st CCLC programs was delayed, we mobilized quickly and led the charge to get those dollars released to the programs and families counting on them.
At the same time, we’ve continued to build a stronger, more connected afterschool system—convening regional networks, amplifying the voices of providers and families, and championing afterschool and summer programs in key decision-making spaces across Utah and the country.
This work fuels opportunity, stability, and belonging for young people—but it doesn’t happen on its own.
