๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’™ Happy World Water Day! ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒŠโ
โ
We are celebrating by looking back at 2024 and how our Keep Texas Waterways Clean program made an incredible impact:โ
โ
๐Ÿšฎ 195,191 pounds of trash removedโ
๐Ÿ™Œ 11,317 volunteers took actionโ
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ 320 miles of waterways cleanedโ
๐Ÿงน 170 cleanups across Texasโ
โ
From oceans to creeks, rivers to bayous, every waterway deserves our care! ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’ฆ You can be part of the solutionโ€”join a cleanup or host your own, and we'll provide the supplies!โ

Letโ€™s keep up the great work and protect Texasโ€™ waterways together. ๐Ÿ’ชโ™ป๏ธ Learn more at https://ktb.org/our-work/keep-texas-waterways-clean/

Take a family nature walk today. Choose a spot to sit and observe nature. Go back to this spot throughout the year. How are things changing? Nature can be what is around you; there is no need to go far away to find it.

SISD Future Garden proposal article in today's Village Voice is VERY exciting. I encourage everyone to read about this educational/community endeavor and support the project. Congratulations to the Native Plant Society, SISD, and all who collaborated on this beautiful plan!!!!

๐ŸŒบ Did you know July sits in the middle of hummingbird season in Texas? ๐ŸŒฟ Our state boasts 19 official species of hummingbirds that pollinate a wide variety of native plants, like the flame acanthus (Aniscanthus quadrificlus var. wrightii) in this photo.

Keep your eyes peeled for these tiny wonders as they grace our gardens with their vibrant energy and delicate beauty! โœจ
