Our Ascend Rehabilitation division is expanding its expertise beyond the communities we serve.

Through a new partnership with Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, Ascend is providing rehabilitation consulting and oversight at two St. Paul locations. Episcopal Homes retains its in-house therapy team, with Ascend offering clinical and operational support from an experienced, Minnesota-based team.

We are excited to share that Saint Therese has received a $34,801 Arts Education grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board to help residents explore new art forms and develop their creative skills.

At our Oxbow Lake, Woodbury, and Corcoran communities, residents will participate in 131 professionally led sessions with MacPhail Center for Music and COMPAS, learning to play the ukulele, exploring music history, and building skills in painting, clay sculpture, tapestry weaving, and collaborative mural making.

Beginning this fall, these hands-on programs will encourage residents to try something new, form a relationship with a new art form, and bring their ideas to life. We can't wait to watch our residents discover new talents, grow their creative skills, and bring their ideas to life!

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Our “Three Musketeers” made the news! Thank you to The Villager Newspaper for sharing the story of Connie Smith, Felicia Smith and Dorothy Clark, three longtime housekeepers at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon, Ohio.

Each has served the community for 20 years, building friendships with one another and lasting relationships with residents. We’re glad to see them get this recognition!

What a gorgeous day for our Fall Festival at Saint Therese of Corcoran yesterday!

More than 500 residents, families and neighbors joined us for live music, a petting zoo, caricature artists, arts and crafts, self-guided tours and plenty of fall treats. Take a look at some of the fun and the people who helped make it all happen!

Guests also enjoyed charcuterie, desserts, hot apple c***r, simulation games and the photo booth. There was something for every age!

Thank you to everyone who spent part of the day with us! A big thank-you, too, to our Corcoran team, colleagues from Oxbow Lake and other Saint Therese communities, and all our volunteers, including students from Maple Grove and Wayzata high schools. You helped make this a day to remember!

A special visitor for a special day! Yesterday, Saint Therese of Woodbury welcomed Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis to celebrate Mass for the Feast of St. Therese of Lisieux, our organization’s namesake.

Thank you, Archbishop Hebda, for joining us in prayer and taking time to visit with residents. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this a memorable celebration for our community.
